We loved our stay in the Mountain Whispers suite during our visit to Talkeetna. The room was cozy, comfortable and immaculate! The owners we so welcoming. We liked sitting in the beautiful yard while enjoying a glass of wine!

This was our favorite place we stayed on our trip to Alaska. The location is in an isolated wooded area that really gave an Alaskan wilderness feel but is also only a short drive from the Talkeetna flightseeing tour locations. The cabin itself (Spruce Cabin) was beautiful, clean, and well built and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the amenities and the decor. The only downside was that we were only in town for one night because I would have loved to stay here longer.

We enjoyed a short weekend getaway in the Birch Cabin of Talkeetna Chalet. This lovely and cozy cabin had all the creature comforts. It is located in a quiet and private location. Some things to note and we appreciated are: the personal parking space out front; the cute little porch furnished with 2 chairs and a small table, to sit outside and soak in the sun while enjoying a drink or snacks. The queen size bed has a firm yet soft and comfortable mattress, with oh-so comfy pillows, linens, and quilts. The kitchen area includes a sink mini Keurig, electric kettle, toaster microwave, some glassware and silverware, and more were nice conveniences. The bathroom is beautifully decorated and has a standup shower only but quite spacious for a 3/4 bathroom. This place offered more than I expected and it was especially CLEAN, which is high on my list of expectations. It is conveniently located nearby local shops, restaurants, and trails. I highly recommend this place. One of the owners I spoke to, Twila, was and is very quick to respond though she was out of state. Originally, we were to stay at the Talkeetna Lodge up the road but I am very glad to find this as our alternative. Next time, it will be our first choice 😉

My wife and I are traveling to multiple places in Alaska and we stubbled across Talkeetna. We stayed in the Birch cabin. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well equipped the private cabin was. My wife especially loved the fluffy pillows, comfortable bed, and towels. The area was very peaceful and only minutes from the quaint town. If traveling back thru the area, we will definitely stay again. We highly recommend it.

We stayed in the Denali suite, and were impressed with the cleanliness of our room, as well as the overall appearance of the property. The fresh banana bread was delicious, and the hosts were friendly, and even went so far as to return a pair of pants I accidentally left in the room. I offered to reimburse her for the shipping costs, but she kindly refused.||We hope to return again, when we come back to beautiful Alaska.

We loved our couple days spent at the Willow Cabin! Everything was neat, clean and perfectly comfortable! The owner, with whom we exchanged texts and a phone call was very nice and helpful to answer the questions we had about hikes, bears, grocery stores, restaurants! ||The cabin is in a great location to visit Talkeetna area! It is located just a few minutes drive from many trails and from the « Main street » in Talkeetna, from where you have a nice walk along the river with an awesome view on the Alaska Range. We saw bald eagles and a couple other eagles during our walk along the river…

We stayed in the Willow Cabin for 5 nights with our two teenage grandsons during our Talkeetna visit. The cabin was very clean and the full kitchen came in handy with two hungry teens. The owner, Twila, was very prompt and eager in meeting our requests (a couple baking pans) and even had homemade banana bread, coffees, teas and hot cocoa in the kitchen for our enjoyment. The front porch is great for morning coffee but unfortunately the mosquitos are around at all hours of the day and limited those moments. If possible, screening that in would make it perfect! Even with that, I would highly recommend a cabin at Talkeetna Chalet.
