Very comfortable and very calm place. Close to the diamond Mountain Ski Resort. A little bit out of the way if you were planning to go downtown, you really need to drive everywhere

The view of Lake Tahoe from our balcony made the whole trip very worthwhile. The time-share condo was well kept and well equipped with a living room providing a pull out couch, fireplace, dining room and full kitchen on the main "walk in" floor.|Down a flight of stairs, the two bedrooms each with a queen bed were quite comfortable. The master suite has a bathroom with shower right off the bedroom. The 2nd bedroom is a very short walk to the hallway 2nd bathroom with a tub. In the hallway are a stacked washer and dryer. Closets were plentiful. TV's in each bedroom and the living room.Clean and neat, we had everything we needed for our stay. Extra supplies were just a short walk away to the check in office. We learned quickly to shop for our food at the Dollar General and Walmart in Carson City. Reno is just a 40 minute drive away where we enjoyed golfing and shopping at local thrift stores - just for the fun of picking up some small useful item at an extremely reasonable price. We used a Stateline app on our phone to listen to the narrated tour as we drove around the lake admiring the beauty of the whole area. Many were out walking, hiking, and along with us enjoying the forest of all the different pine trees, bushes, and other items of nature. We found plenty to do at a reasonable price by visiting the local museums and the UC Davis Science Center. We learned quite a bit about the area, Lake Tahoe and it's rich history.|

BEWARE if you rent from this place! I have been a timeshare owner at this location since 1985 and I pay $650 a year in HOA fees to have this privilege of enjoying a week every year up at beautiful Lake Tahoe. It is a very nice location right at the base of Diamond Peak ski resort and is usually a very nice week. |However this year the QM management company who manages this property has started a new Scam in which they falsely accuse you of breaking some innocuous item, such as a vase that has been in this unit since 1985, and then charging your credit card on account nearly $100 for such breakage. They didn’t even advise me of this action before they put that charge through. In speaking with them, all you get to speak to is their receptionist who is “conveying” messages from “her manager”, whom I didn’t speak I to. I have pictures of “said vase” showing it had no damage the night before we checked out. We never even touched this item, yet the day their cleaning crew shows up they take pictures of this item with a broken top. Boy…never have I been falsely accused of something which we did not do, and not have a company give me any respect. |Anyone want to buy a timeshare?……|Be aware dealing with QM management………take lots of your own pictures so you can prove your innocence……..

We have loved our week at Tahoe Chaparral this summer. The views are amazing and the unit has everything you need. Bedrooms are on floor 2 and living/dining/kitchen are on floor 3. While the decor is a bit outdated, you can tell it’s been updated recently… granite counters in the kitchen and bathroom, and everything is super clean. We loved the flexibility of the space, the easy access to all kinds of fun things to do, and the views. Have I mentioned the views? Just wow.

If you’re here to ski the location is great. The kitchenette is well equipped but has no space for groceries so it gets cluttered. The decor is mediocre and every time I stay here the carpets are dirty -but vacuumed. Both bathrooms are on the bottom floor- 2 flights down. Nice deck.

Beautiful area and excellent access to the ski resort. The check in process was a breeze and any time we needed anything, they were prompt and very courteous. They included passes to get into local beaches and one has an outdoor pool as well. The beach passes were to some that were almost exclusive to homeowners so it was nice to have access to areas that weren't so crowded.

The hiking and other activities around are plentiful. It's a three level condo with HD TVs in each room. A fireplace with (presto logs included) make the living room a great place to relax in the morning and evenings. The deck gives you a nice view of lake. Very nice location. Be sure to pack some shampoo and conditioner as that is one thing not included in your stay.

We enjoyed two weeks at the Tahoe Chaparral. We appreciated the fine customer service from the housekeeping staff. We had a two bedroom condo with very comfortable beds, a well equiped kitchen, a fireplace in the living room, a washer and dryer, and a stunning view of Lake Tahoe from the balcony. We hope to return next year. (Please note if you go in the summer, these units do not have air conditioning and can get a bit stuffy. They do provide box fans. Many units in the Tahoe area do not have a/c because it is typically not needed.)

We stayed twice per year the past couple of years. Love that it feels like home rather than hotel/motel. The condo unit we stayed was 2 bedrooms 2 bath (one with bathtub, one with shower) unit #37. We stayed during Christmas weekend and it was truly a winter wonderland. This unit is the best, most desired because from the parking space you walk right into living room without any stairs! Friendly for families with children or elders. The view of the lake is an added plus. Diamond Peak is just around the corner, literally.
