Sweet Demi Lune is the perfect small business to patronize, not only because the pastries and coffee are fantastic, but the owners are kind people that delivers impeccable service. I visit every weekend for my pastry and coffee fix so I’ve tried everything. You can tell they use quality ingredients made with lots of love. My personal favorite are their kouign amann, coconut croissants, fruit tarts….who am I kidding, you can’t go wrong with any of their baked items. Definitely a must try if you crave something with the perfect balance of flavor and sweetness.

Wow! This place is soooo good.
At the picture you can see the items we have tried and we are literally coming back same day to get more! Absolutely delightful taste, crispy croissants. The fillings even the cream ones are not overly sweet! AMAZING!
We are so lucky to have this place open up!
You can tell there’s so much love and passion behind it.

Delicious!!!!! All in house, quality ingredients, and no short cuts. The process and pride in the baking shows up in the food. The pasties are high quality, and very tasty. They use whole food ingredients; no extracts or artificial flavors. The staff is amazing, and makes you feel like part of the family. We grabbed a couple pasties, and sat in their lovely (kid and dog friendly) porch. Amazing views!! The owner came out a few minutes after we finished to ask how everything was, which pastry we enjoyed most, and catch up generally. We had a lovely conversation, and really loved our experience. We will be back each week!! We love it. Great food, and amazing, warm team here.

I was gonna stop by Berolina, but it’s July 5th and they were closed. I literally didn’t know where else to go so I googled “bakery” in Berolina’s parking lot and came across Sweet Demi Lune. They’ve been open 11 months. I thought I’d give it a shot cuz I saw pictures of a Kouign-amann. Here’s my review —

I went around 8:45am on a Friday morning (right after July 4 holiday) so it was pretty slow. The display shelves were pretty empty so I wasn’t sure if they were open yet, but they were just grabbing all the freshly baked pastries from the back. There’s just two guys right now who bake and maybe co-own the place? I spoke to one of them for a bit while waiting for some freshly baked pastries and he was really nice!

I got the
-almond croissant: owner highly recommended. It did not disappoint!!
-house kouignamann (has a citrus custard filling): flakey, crispy, with a yummy filling. Custard wasn’t as citrus-y as I thought it would be, but it also wasn’t too heavy so I still thought it was yummy
-peach cobbler/danish?: I thought this was the gonna be the least appetizing but it was also really good! The peach wasn’t too sweet and the pastry part was still flaky enough
-chocolate croissant: honestly only got it cuz it’s so pretty (bottom left in the box photo) but it was also good
-raspberry pistachio..strudel? The flavor combo was great!! Could use even a little more pistachio but the combo compliment works.

Overall everything was super yummy! I believe the cost is $4-6 for the pastries, so my total was a little under $30 for 5 pastries. The friends I shared these with also enjoyed everything! The take out box is also SO pretty! I’ll def visit again 🙂

This place is absolutely incredible. They have, without a doubt, the best pastries in all of LA. We have tried their croissants (regular, strawberry, almond, and ham and cheese), tarts, kouign-amanns, and pain suisse au chocolats, and we keep coming back for more. Really a hidden gem in the La Crescenta area! If you've ever been to Paris and have been looking for something like that here in LA, definitely try out Sweet Demi Lune. I would say they are even better than some of the patisseries we've been to in Paris! The owners are also super friendly, and the place is very clean and such a lovely place.

I happened to stop by and was pleasantly surprised! Fresh coffee, excellent pastries -- just the right amont of sweetness. The owner was very nice too.

Also has quite a few indoor/outdoor seats for reading books etc.

Friendly service and incredible pastries! They make them fresh in-house every morning and the almond croissant is no joke the best one I've ever had. They have different pastries on rotation so if you see something you like, get it before it's gone!

The newly opened Sweet Demi Lune in North Glendale/Montrose on 3600 Ocean View Blvd, honestly is the best bakery in town. The staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is clean, modern, at the same time cozy and inviting, and the products are simply amazing. You are always greeted with a smile and a mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked goods.

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery offers a wide selection of pastries, from classic croissants to exotic Kouigan-Amann. Their croissants are flaky and buttery, and come in different flavors that suit every taste. My personal favorite is the Kouigan-Amann, which has a rich and decadent filling that melts in your mouth.

If you love pastries, you should definitely try their Kouign-Amann. It’s a treat for your taste buds and a delight for your eyes.
