Susy welcomes you in like it is her home. The food is wonderful. Her fresh salsas are so bright with flavor. Since she was alone at the time of our visit, Friday evening- we expected to wait a bit. This is not a fast food place, so do not expect homemade food to be ready in 5 min. It was definitely worth the wait.

Absolute gem! As my daughter said, this place gives Grandma Vibes, with the loving service. The freshly fried chips with salsas and taco plates were all tasty! If we are ever on 101 again, we will definitely come back.

If you're within 60 miles of Atascadero and haven't eaten at Susy Kitchen, you're seriously missing out on a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest host who made us feel right at home. She even went out of her way to make two fresh salsas on the spot, and let me tell you—store-bought salsas can't even begin to compare to these. The flavors were bursting with authenticity and depth, something you simply won't find anywhere else.

We ordered the Al Pastor Tacos, the Birria Plate, and the Asada Plate, and each bite was an explosion of flavor. It was so good, I wish I could have kept eating, but I was completely full! The portions were perfect, and the food was incredibly fresh.

The outdoor seating was cute, cozy, and welcoming, making the entire experience feel even more personal and charming. It's a must-visit spot that will leave you wanting more. If you're nearby—or even if you're not—make it a priority to eat here. You won't regret it!

Stopped here to take a break. I am from out of town and decided on a Shrimp and Fish taco. Both were amazing with a pepper seasoning. Suzy was amazing, nice and personable. We spoke of other dishes which I decided to try. The Birria was great, made Tostada style, the Chile Verde was great as well but little hot which is what I liked. When traveling this direction, I will be stopping by as well as referring others. 👍👍👍👍👍

What a great little place. Beautiful inside with just a couple tables and more outside on the patio. Susy is so sweet and all the food was delicious. Definitely coming back when I come through town. If you are anywhere in the area go there and I'm sure it will become a favorite.

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food. I think no matter what you order here it’ll be good. The tacos were delicious and the enchiladas were savory. The home made salsas remind me of my mom’s. Susy is very appreciative of her customers and grateful for your business. If you’re in the atascadero area, stop by for some great food and support a family business.

Susy is the heart and soul of this establishment. I have only had a few items from here so far but I'm telling you it is some of the best tasting Mexican food I have ever had. Carnitas burrito was amazing and very reasonably priced. The rice and beans are amazing. The hot sauces are incredible.

Susy is also such a sweet person and takes care of you from start to finish. She really knows how to run this small business of hers.

Food was excellent! Very fresh, made to order.
I have eaten it many Mexican restaurants that are this size, and when they make their food fresh, it is going to take a while. The great thing about Susy kitchen, is that everything tasted fresh!
Very friendly service.
We got food to go, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. As you can tell by the photos, the place is relatively small. And for the people eating their, food was served piping hot!
