PLEASE READ!!! My husband and I are adventurous hikers. We’ve hiked many terrains. Yesterday we went to Susquehannock State Park for a hike. We took the blue trail (not sure the name) which we’ve taken in the past and it overlooks lots of waterfalls and there’s lots of climbing and beautiful views. WARNING: This time there were many slippery spots and my husband nearly lost his life as he slid off a cliff. Luckily, He was able to dig his claws in and save himself. Please be warned that the trail is slick and if you are on the side of a cliff, be extra careful! Just wanted to share our scary experience. Happy Hiking!

Great view of the river from the overlook. Detailed plaques throughout some of the trails explain the forage and wildlife around you. Parking is plenty. Trails are well maintained and easy to walk through. There are some sections of steep elevation and some parts are bumpy and rocky but worth the walk. Lovely place all around. Free entry.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location. Great overlook to view the Susquehanna River and catch glimpses of various birds of prey. Appreciated the park ranger being there giving information and answering questions along with providing binoculars for viewing. This was a quick stop for us to have a picnic lunch but interested in returning to take in some of the trails. Lotta parking available along with restrooms and multiple picnic tables scattered throughout the area. Great spot for families to enjoy the outdoors, playground for kids and pet friendly. Light amount of visitors but steady. There is a short walk from lower parking lot to lookout area that could be challenging for elderly and disabled as shown in picture. Camping and pavilion reservations are also available. Free entry.

Great place for a short hike. Handful of different loops and offers a variety of terrain.

Nothing too challenging, however some trails can be quite steep and not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

All the trails are blazed but are all in the same color. Trail junctions are staked out with signs to indicate which path you are on. Also ample printed maps at the main parking lot.

Just be mindful of the landmines horses are leaving behind and you'll have a good time.

This is an excellent park in Pennsylvania. There are tons of walking trails, hiking trails. There are tables and public bathrooms. The public bathrooms are open seasonally. I believe there are two playgrounds on site. Several public grills are on scene two for a barbecue. There is a nice scenic overlook that you can see all kinds of birds flying around. You can also overlook the water.
