When we arrived it was Tressa that was working. Very delightful to work with.. Are room had everything we needed. It was clean. The employee that was working this morning I didn't catch their name but also very very pleasant.

Only suggestion would be maybe a bit better variety at breakfast.

Would definitely recommend.

I booked this hotel online for my mom and grandpa who are fleeing from floods in WV. When I called the hotel to confirm they told me I had to give them a $150 cash deposit. I explained I was booking it for my mom and grandpa and would be happy to pay the deposit on my credit card. They said cash only. I said I couldn't do that as I was in Colorado and neither my mom or grandpa had any money. The front desk lady told me cash only no exceptions. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there wasn't one available. They cancelled my reservation leaving my mom and grandpa stuck in Summersville without a room to stay in. What an absolute nightmare added onto an already stressful and scary situation.

The lady at front desk was the rudest hotel employee I've ever encountered. I booked room and drove from indiana to visit family. She wanted 150.00 cash because I use my sister's address to get mail plus a credit card for other issues that may occur. I had already paid for two day stay with a credit card wasn't good enough
She called manager and she wouldn't speak with me about situation, as a vet and a resident I'm very pissed off over situation I will never stay at that place again,went 10 miles closer to sisters house got room 2 days no problem

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in , the staff went way out of there way for myself and then my wife, I went down to race at the good evening ranch, ( another great place and people) , anyway I had a accident and when I got back to my hotel the maintenance man.( Tromis Canfield ) went beyond out of his way to get me to my room and made sure I was comfortable. I then had to have an ambulance take me to the hospital. This maintenance man who had other things he could do , stopped after work to make sure I was ok, let his number in case I needed anything. That’s what I call service and making a guest feel like family. The rest of the stall was great and took great care to make sure my wife had everything she needed. 5 stars doesn’t even come close to what they are,sure you don’t get a big breakfast bar ,but I would rather have a caring staff that actually care then a staff who doesn’t care .

My first impression upon arrival was that the hotel looked freshly painted and well kept. Check in was made easy by Tressa (sp?) who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome including inquiring about room placement as to ensure the dog we were traveling with was going to be comfortable as well! She is the kind of person you want in the hospitality industry her pride in her work really shines through. Welcoming, pleasant, personable, and caring are all words I’d use to describe her and she absolutely passed the vibe check!

The hotel does have a very strict no cat policy but are absolutely dog friendly with a $15 pet fee.

Our room was on the first floor and very clean, the walls looked freshly painted and the carpet looked brand new, the adjustable shower head and the shower insert also looked brand new. There was a heat/drying lamp in the bathroom ceiling which is always nice when getting out of the shower and I bet could be even more appreciated during the winter months! The towels and sheets were soft and clean which is always appreciated!

After being a Pest Control technician for many years I instinctively check every hotel mattresses for any hidden friends. I was INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED!; when I checked these mattresses to find under the sheets were bedbug proof mattress covers!!! I wish more hotels did this as it took a weight off my shoulders and allowed me to relax and feel more comfortable in the room! I will say the room had its quirks but honestly what hotel doesn’t, all we needed was a pet friendly safe place to sleep for the night and this place passed with flying colors. I would absolutely stay here again no questions asked!

BED BUGS. I stayed here 1 night and have bites all over my back. The room was filthy. The bed hadn’t been changed. Carpet was covered in crumbs. The floor in the bathroom had not been mopped and the room smelled like pee.
After a stressful 4 hour drive I was too tired to do anything about the situation but now I have bed bug bites and regret not taking action. The room was non refundable. What a rip off. Disgusting place

The hotel is fine. Rooms are clean. But the hidden gem of this place is Tom! We travel north once or twice a year and the main reason we choose this place is because of him. He is always in a great mood, even in the early hours, he's helpful and funny. In a world where desk people most the time won't even give you eye contact, Tom is a refreshing change!

Fairly quiet. Shower did not work. Older clean rooms. Carpet looked newish. Wifi is unsecured. Better than sleeping outside in the rain without a tent.

To be clear the shower didn't work and the response from the front desk was "sorry about that". No offer to fix it or provide an alternate room. If a shower is important for you best to verify it works when checking in.
