I did not check Google reviews before I booked and boy do I regret it... the rating on the Best Western site was reflecting a better rating when I booked the room a few weeks ago.
The first room I was given initially was dirty, the floors had dirt tracks and was grimy, the toliet had toothpaste smeared on it, every surface had a weird greasy film. The worst part was that there was personal body hair from the previous guest in the sheets. I let the young man at the front desk know, the room was not clean.
He changed the room and accompanied me to the second room. I asked about ending my stay after this evening because the second room didn't look much better. The photos don't lie, the second room... 😶
After a long day of travel this was not what I was expecting.
I'll have to wait until the morning to speak with management... I have had much better luck with other Best Western locations in various other states, I have no words for this location.
After speaking with the toll free customer service, I learned each location is independently owned and operated so unlike the Hilton or Doubletree brand there appears to be no consistent standard each location carrying the Best Western brand adheres to. It is all up to local management.
The parking lot is small, well lit but spaces are compact. There is electric car charging stations.
Otherwise this location works, I wasn't planning to spend the day in the room, I simply need a clean, safe place to rest and this isn't it.

Please read the reviews on this hotel before you book; a mistake I made was not doing so. Almost every single one of the reviewers aren’t satisfied! And this has been going on for more than a year the same problems keep on coming up and the owners don’t seem to make any changes at all! It’s really the little things that add up. Looked forward to the pool but it was dirty, our towels were dirty, the floors were dirty, stains on the bed sheets, we had a leak in the bathroom that made the floor wet and the breakfast was okay for the little snack foods they had to offer but could definitely improve. The pictures they have up to promote are misleading.

I originally was not going to write a review because I don’t really do so, but once I saw BLOOD on the air conditioner vent thing, it crossed a line and made the stay a bit unsettling.

We stayed for a Disneyland trip, the location of this place is great and nearby to it. Overall, it was an “okay” place to sleep and it got that job done but the place could really use some improvement.

I’m very sure this place has the potential to change, and can take advantage of their location that is close to Disneyland, which could actually get good reviews if they were to truly make an effort to improve their quality. Im disappointed in the owners not taking accountability, they could really turn this place around!!! Please improve SureStaybyBestWestern in Buena Park Anaheim CA and we might come back once we see better reviews!!!!!!!

I would rate this hotel a zero if possible. Upon arriving in October, we checked in and went to our first room, only to find that it smelled like marijuana and possibly urine. I called the front desk, and a young man came to our room to verify our concerns. After inspecting the situation, he moved us to another room.||||Upon opening the door to the second room, I noticed it did not smell clean. The bathroom towels were dirty, and the bed coverings and pillows had an unpleasant body odor. While I was assessing the room, a maid passed by, knocked on the door, and entered the bathroom without responding to me; it seemed she did not understand English, as she walked in and out without acknowledging my presence.||||After discovering additional cleanliness issues, I decided to leave the hotel. I went to the front desk and explained the situation. The manager and front desk staff informed me that they would need a few days to refund my tax and points.||||We left the hotel and checked into a nearby one. I waited a week and checked my account, noticing that my cash had been refunded; however, my points had not. I called the hotel and was given an email address to request the return of my points. I wrote the email but did not receive a response. I then called customer service, who advised me to follow up with another email, which I did. This time, I was told that I had stayed at the hotel. I explained that I had not and that I had proof of my checkout. They have since ignored my emails and calls.||||The online reviews, complete with pictures of the hotel, tell the whole story. The elevator was disgusting, and the overall property was in poor condition. Their customer service skills are lacking, and I am disappointed in the way upper management has handled this issue. I gave the hotel a chance, as I have never had such a negative experience with a SureStay before. I regret making the reservation after reading the reviews.||||My advice…..Don't stay at this hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was the worse decision ever. When we got there we noticed that the blankets were paper thin. We asked for more blankets and they stated that they don’t have extras and we have to use the one on the bed. The box spring is so disgusting, full of yellow stains with no cover. We went to Disneyland and when we got back from the hotel, they re-hung the towel I put on the floor in the bathroom to wipe our feet back to the hanger. It was so disgusting. They just folded it again and hung it back. They never change towels. As far as for breakfast, they only served oatmeal in the packet, no hot water at all. Theres muffins and coffee and cereals but not enough milk. When asking for more condiments, the front desk is not in the front at all. Please do not stay here and save yourself a hassle. It’s very dirty.

The towels and pillows are old and worn out, but clean. The pillows are lumpy, like they have been washed a million times. The internet is poor. The TV does not have an accessible HDMI port for Roku or Fire stick. The check-in counter is behind a glass wall, maybe bullet proof. It doesn't give you a save feeling. The parking lot is well lit. The guest room has recessed lighting, which is too bright, they need lamps. The breakfast is mini muffins from a grocery store, cereal, toast, etc. No hot breakfast no protein. I guess for the price, you get what you pay for.

I booked a suite. I was given adjoining rooms and told "that's a suite." These are not the same thing. The key card envelopes were dog-eared and faded and felt like they'd been given to dozens of guests previously.||After check in house keeping came scurrying in. I have no idea if the sheets were actually changed between customers or if they'd just forgotten to tidy the vanity. The beds were at least made and the rooms clean.||The hard floors cause all movement to be amplified to the floor below you. The rooms look exactly like what SureStay rooms are supposed to look like and the comfort level is as expected at a SureStay.||The breakfast was awful. The coffee machine was broken. The juice machine was broken. There was not hot water. All flavors offered were the bottom choice from what was once variety packets. There was insufficient milk for the cereal. There were insufficient muffins and cinnamon rolls for the volume of guests. There were exactly two things of vanilla yogurt. There was no one attending or refilling anything. While sitting with a bowl of off brand Cherrios I watched as guests would enter, their jaw would drop down and they'd stare a moment, and then they left empty-handed and unfed. Except for the guy who grabeed the two vanilla yogurts and left - leaving none. ||Overall FAR below the standard of a Best Western or Sure Stay.

I would like to start by saying if I could give zero stars I would. First off stayed at this location 2 weeks ago, I’ll say fair conditions no microwave or hooks for clothes stains on the sheets but we managed. There was $100 deposit and no fee for my service animal. Due to the holiday I was subjected to having to possibly stay here again this past week only to be told there is $100 deposit and a$250 pet deposit I kindly explain my dog is a service animal and I have documentation if needed only to be told it doesn’t matter it’s a $250 deposit for all animals. I then call Best Western who then confirms that there should be no fee for service animal. The front desk clerk then tells me she’s contacting her manager who comes out to say “your animal is free to stay but the deposit for the room is $250” LIES!! I the prove I just stayed a week ago with a $100 deposit only to be told that’s my problem the gentleman who took my payment last week and told me he was the manager was apparently miss informed so he charged me incorrectly but here’s the gotcha I rechecked the website and it clearly states $100 deposit. WORST Best Western experience ever rude staff not to mention trying to swindle me out of my money. If you aren’t going to represent Best Western properly they shouldn’t be allowed to have Best Western in the title because this was a HORROR experience and I won’t ever be back and I DO NOT recommend even as an ABSOLUTE LAST resort! Just don’t do or better yet proceed with EXTREME CAUTION.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

First off, we traveled from az. Booked over the phone, and were lied to. We were told we would have 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. Won't give a refund or offer any help
