Well maybe he's could not get in the side door with our key cards despite having them recharged three times. The door lock was broken. The door lock on our room door was broken and one of us had to be sure to stay in the room to let the other one in. The breakfast was absolutely nothing, they aren't doing breakfast anymore. There was no coffee. The room was fair. If you have to stay anywhere near plover or Stevens point, don't stay here.

I can not recommend this motel at all. I have Parkisons disease. Very early stage. So most of the time I can walk slowly on my own but am very unstable. I called ahead to ask if they are pet friendly. They are not. Asked if I could bring service dog. Answer was yes. Asked if our other two dogs could come along if they stayed in truck. And only allowed out for poddy breaks. The answer to that was it's ok. So that is what we did. Left windows of truck partially open. Between my husband and I we let them out late at nite and then let them out early morning. One of them is a puppy and is smaller and harder to handle than the the older one. Tried to do a good job of cleaning up after them
I am Building a new house nearby. We allow all the dogs to run on the 13 acres. Which has nothing to do with any of this. We returned to motel. My husband headed inside to take a shower. The puppy got away from me again. Got him caught between 3 of us. Went to go in and was confronted by the manager who said "You can not come back" I started to ask why He just said " you can not come back you said 1 dog" I am totally confused as I very specifically said there was one service dog and two others who would be staying in the truck Of course I got angry and said actually it is 3.
Thought I was clear on phone that there would be 3. With 2 being in truck instead of room. And was told that's exceptable. This was about 11-12:00. Why accuse me of lying when I didn't and get upset about dog escaping twice. Once over night the second that afternoon. We did not do anything we didn't forewarn of. The puppy escaping is nothing we could predict and was not from lack of trying to keep him confined.
Just want to understand why we were not allowed back in.
Dog is fully insured for getting hit in road or biting anywhere with farm insurance and would have been no liability on hotel. But manager to no time to listen. Just turned on heel and stomped off. He wouldn't listen to other side of the story. Now I want to know the other side. All our papers are with us at all times so could have shown him. We tried to keep up our side of the agreement. And the hotel/motel flopped on its face. We as farmers have to keep up with all of these things. Thank you Karen Stardy

I booked my son and his family a week's stay at this motel for a getaway because they have two other roommates and they don't ever have much privacy. I should mention that my son's wife and daughter are Latino. I paid with my credit card. While they were checking in, they grabbed a cart to put their luggage on. The owner grabbed it away from them and said it had to stay in the front by the desk. Otherwise, they checked in without incident.

I received a text message in the middle of the night from my son, saying that they woke them up in the middle of the night and told them that they needed $100 EXTRA deposit or else they had to check out by 9 a.m. Keep in mind, the room for the entire week was already paid for.

I called the front desk at 5 a.m. and the manager told me that I needed to call back at 9 a.m. I told him that he told my family they would need to vacate the room (I already paid for) by then unless I sent another $100. He just kept saying that he was asleep and I needed to call back.

At 9 a.m. on the dot, I called and told him I shouldn't have had to put another $100 down as the room was paid for in full, but he said that the deposit was just in case there were damages to the room. He said that upon checkout, I would be refunded the $100. I gave him my debit card number and paid it. All seemed to be fine.

The next night they said they were able to use the pool and relax (they both work two jobs, so I was happy they could enjoy some peaceful time with my granddaughter). They next three days they were told they could not use the pool because it was being maintained. The pool doors were open to others though. The next day they used the pool, they experienced such severe chemical burns, they could hardly sleep. They complained to the front desk and were told that it was their fault as they were told not to use the pool. Shouldn't the doors be locked if it was not safe to swim?

During their week stay, housekeeping only came to clean and give them fresh towels and linens ONCE! They also NOT ONCE received the breakfast that their website says is included every morning during their stay.

They checked out before 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21st but I have yet to see my refunded $100. I telephoned the motel and spoke to the same man (who I assume is the manager/owner) and he said (from what I could make out as he has a thick accent) that the sheets were all dirty so my $100 was going to replace them? He said there was garbage all over the room.

I know my family and KNOW that they are not messy people AT ALL!! In my opinion, the manager saw skin color and is prejudice against Latino people. I have filed complaints against this motel for their dangerous facility, lack of advertised amenities, and racism.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR!!!!

We had a nice, quiet stay without disturbances. Staff were friendly. The queen bed was comfy and the curtains blocked out a considerable amount of light. The room had a slight musty smell. Bathroom was alittle dated, but functional with plenty of hot water. The location is very convenient.

Our room was clean and relatively comfortable. The "breakfast" consisted of a couple of boxes of Walmart donuts and coffee. All the accoutrements for breakfast were there (juice machine, waffle maker, cereal dispensers, etc) but all were empty and unplugged. Looked like they hadn't been used for awhile πŸ˜•.

Aside from all that info, the place was quiet and in a convenient location to the freeway (and across from a KwikTrip πŸ˜πŸ‘).

Moldy baseboards under the sink, the showers were weird and really short. There is NOT a breakfast included. When I checked in they said coffee and juice will be out until 10 in the morning. I was confused but like whatever I'll hit Kwik trip. Go out to grab some orange juice and there wasn't even that.

The place was just fine. Pool was lovely, room was clean and the employee helped fix the cable in our room. However the website advertised free breakfast. But we were told there was no breakfast in the morning. Despite that there were two hoppers full of cereal, a waffle iron, and loads of pastries, bread, and bagels in the drawers. Who is that food for if there is no breakfast offered? While my wife, my son, and myself were standing in the breakfast area a very angry employee came out to yell at my wife for opening the drawer. He was really rude and a total jackass. If anyone stays there you should know that they keep the pastries in the top drawer right beneath the toaster. Help yourself to them. There is also bread and bagels in the drawer below that one. But seriously, if you are going to stop offering breakfast get rid of the waffle iron, toaster, cereal dispenser, a bowl full of peanut butter and jelly packs, etc. I still give the place 5 stars because I enjoyed my stay despite the β€œbread police” yelling at my wife for looking in the drawers. If the contents of the drawers are so precious then maybe you should lock them dummy. Lol
