Sundogs Bed ands Breakfast is the best bed and breakfast! The house is designed for the guest, providing ample space for comfort inside the dining/living area. Bedrooms are roomy but cozy---love the shower!The grounds are extensive and lush, providing plenty of opportunities for a stroll in the gardens, fields, or woods. Breakfast (fireside for our stay) was delicious and accommodating. Best of all, Dave and Peggy were welcoming hosts. I will definitely return to Sundogs!

A very lovely home on a very lovely setting. We enjoy going to B & B's and have our favorites and this has made our "most memorable" list! David and Peggy created a beautiful haven to make beautiful memories. My husband and I booked this stay for my birthday and so happy to be able to bring our new furbaby. Everything dog-inspired in this home has touched my heart! Seeing the dog enjoy the trails is priceless! Love our room (the Sunny), love the trails, love the Sundogs story, the gardens, the tranquility, the breakfast and the coffee is the best! I sat on the steps of the front porch this evening and gazed up at the night sky and just looked at the stars...incredible experience! Highly recommend booking a stay at this place and we will definitely be back!

I just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Sundogs. The house is beautifully decorated, and the gardens are absolutely stunning. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, very nice linens, a sitting area and a large closet. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower, heated floors, and all the usual amenities. When the owners say Sundogs is dog friendly, they really mean it. Crates, beds and bowls are available at no charge, and there are waste stations located on the property for easy clean up. I was a bit hesitant when I saw that the breakfasts would be plant based, but they were delicious and very filling. When I complimented the owners on the previous morning’s eggs, I was stunned to hear that the “veggie scramble” had been made with tofu! Peggy and David delightful hosts. I enjoyed speaking with them each morning, and Peggy, a professional dog trainer, was very generous in sharing dog training tips. I look forward to returning.

Sundogs B & B was an absolute 5- star gem in Shepardstown. We went for a birthday weekend get away and brought my sweet dog, who was absolutely spoiled by the welcome and all the special touches! There are so many charming and lovely touches that Peggy and Dave do to make your vacation special. They are so friendly and warm and have a gorgeous home and have thought of all of the amenities you could want- very comfortable bed, super clean rooms, lovely soaking tub and giant showers, a fresh pot of coffee waiting for you in the morning and very delicious home made breakfasts. The property is so lovely and meticulously maintained. There are lots of adorable spots in the yard to rest and relax and enjoy the views and star watch at night. We will definitely be back! Thank you Dave and Peggy!

Peggy and David are wonderful hosts. The Sundog home itself is amazing. Relatively new, rooms are a great size, shower and bathroom were excellent. The breakfasts in the morning were amazing!! We are vegan/vegetarian, so we really appreciated the thought and care put into each meal. The grounds weren't something we were able to take advantage of, but they are beautiful!! Close to Shepherdstown, which is a very cute community. Check out Lost Dog Coffee!! All in all, this was an excellent choice for us!!

My husband and I stayed at Sundogs to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary and it was a fine experience. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast (which was carefully and mindfully prepared after consulting w me about my diabetic needs). The vibe was peaceful, the hummingbirds buzzing around the trumpet vines a delight, and the porch a grand place to relax. Goats, puppies, and a pair of outdoor cats added additional entertainment! It's a quick drive from here to Shepherdstown's fun shops and restaurants.

Our stay at Sun Dogs was absolute perfection. The grounds, the breakfasts, the home and the company we everything we had hoped for and more. In fact, we opted to stay in one afternoon just to spend more time on the property. Peggy and David were an absolute delight. From personalized coffee trays for our room in the morning, to glasses of wine on the porch in the evening, we are now trying to find an excuse to go back - but this time to share it with friends and family.

I stayed at Sundogs with my partner and my senior pup (Mya). Sundogs is more than dog friendly; Mya was welcomed just as much as we were.

The rooms and grounds in the bed and breakfast are beautiful. We enjoyed our room. The shower was one of the best showers I've had in any accommodation.

Breakfast was also wonderful. Everything was scrumptious and they seemed willing to accommodate any dietary restrictions.
