Great campground! Been a dry summer, so the lake wasn't as visible as usual, but everything was great. Clean bathrooms, little older but not bad. Had a couple repairs needed but nothing that made for any trouble. Clean campsites, we had a small camper trailer and had plenty of room.

We decided to rent one of the cabins here at Summersville Lake Retreat and so happy we did! The cabin itself is beautiful and very clean. Perfect size for our family of four. The campground is really well kept and has an incredible view of the lake through the hills and trees. Campground owners are friendly and we had everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze! Itโ€™s close to all the hiking and rec activities in the area. Next time we come down weโ€™ll definitely be back!

We stayed in our RV near the light house. Climbing the light house was cool, with nice views. It was made from a damaged windmill section. The park is quiet, with mostly rock roads and RV sites. Donโ€™t be fooled by the name; there is no lake access from the RV park. We were not thrilled about Summersville Lake Retreat not having any lake access.

Very nice well kept campground. We had the best spot in the park which overlooked the mountains and lake. My dog loved the park. I have to say out of all the campgrounds we have stayed at, this dog park was the best. Easy to get to. Lots of potty bags, seating, water, shade and 6 ft. Fence.โค๏ธ The bathrooms were nice and clean and the stuff was very friendly. We stayed a week.

Campground was very nice and clean. Camp sites were well maintained and spaced out nicely. The view of the lake from the full hookup site area is awesome. Plenty of games they have available. Ping pong, jenga, cornhole, and others. Very nice compared to some other campgrounds we passed. Highly recommend.

We stayed at SLR in our toy hauler. Truly one of the most relaxing campgrounds we visited in 3 years! The owners and camp hosts were the best, making us feel very welcome. They have multiple ways to stay including large cabins for families, tiny cabins and vintage cabins. Our pups loved the HUGE dog park - largest we've ever seen! Very clean bathrooms/showers and lots of activities, and they have the only working lighthouse in WV! Also we have great connectivity for working during the week.

We had a wonderful experience here. This campground is so well kept. The bathrooms are the cleanest Iโ€™ve ever seen. It is super quiet even on busy holiday weekends. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The views of the lake are beautiful, especially from the top of the lighthouse. The dog park was amazing for our dogs. Will definitely recommend this campground to anyone coming to the area. And we will be back!
