Had lunch here. It's a Great country feel. We had bacon burgers and they were very good. They also had a breakfast buffet when we arrived, however we opted foe lunch!! All employees were very nice and welcoming!!

Visited for breakfast on New Year's Day. We ordered the Philly (steak & cheese) omelet, a chocolate chip pancake and French toast. Everything tasted great and the coffee was hot & fresh. Our server came by multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and to offer us more coffee. Highly recommend!

Great little country restaurant with a very friendly staff. The food is delicious and made from scratch. The portions are large so bring your appetite. Really good coffee!

5/31/2021 - Two years later we are back at Sue's Country Kitchen and the food and service were just as good as our first visit. Food is prepared as order, hot and fresh. The staff is super friendly and they treat you like family.

We're in town on business, my husband travels for work, and occasionally, we travel with him. He will be working a night shift this job, and we were looking for a "Mom & Pop" diner to get some lunch before getting some extra sleep, and oh boy did we find the Best place!
The service: From the minute we walked in the door with our 10 month old daughter, everyone was incredible. Staff and fellow patrons alike were friendly and welcoming. Everyone spoke to us all. (We expected them to speak to our daughter. It happens everywhere we go.)
The food: The food was so delicious and perfectly fit what we wanted. My husband had the roast beef, which, melted in your mouth, and I had the country fried steak, it was perfectly tender. Our side dishes of mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac-n-cheese tasted like they were much fresher than canned or boxed. Our sweet waitress made sure we had smaller bowls of mashed potatoes and apple sauce for our daughter.
We will definitely be going back there for take-out more this week before work.

Great spot for some traditional American fare. We tried the breakfast buffet which was a great spread as well as a crab cake sandwich. Cozy atmosphere!

We ate in there for the first time yesterday and the food was fabulous. The cornbread was more like a cake, so light and yummy. The servings were more than adequate and I brought home the little bit I couldn't eat there - didn't want to waste any! You have to wait for your food, but fresh-cooked is worth the wait. We will definitely go back next time we are in Petersburg!!

Very good meals at a great price. You got your selection from any type of meal at any time of the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The sandwiches are great, as well as their dinners. The waitresses are very nice and friendly. Service is quick and clean. Very nice place for any meal.
