We used them for a 30 person dinner party for one of our body tech apprentices graduation at Caliber Collision here in Paso Robles and the food was awesome! Our whole team enjoyed the meal. They were punctual. And they even through in a little extra, which when you work with 30 grown men, is very much appreciated. No food goes to waste here! We liked it so much, we are considering using them again very soon!

We used Steins BBQ for our wedding Reception and they were so unbelievable. The food was so good and they present it so cute I was blown away how professional it was. The anti pasta appetizer table was so cute too and delicious. Our guests raved about how good the food was. On top of that Nancy was so sweet and helpful with whatever I needed or any questions I needed answered. She really helped us create the right menu that we wanted and we got to taste all the food ahead of time which was awesome! They are such nice couple, loved working with them. Wouldn't recommend anyone else because they are so outstanding. Thanks again for being such a big part of our special day, it was incredible! Cant wait to come by the restaurant soon and have some more of your good food!

We have had Stein's food before at Pomar Junction pick up parties so we knew it would be good. But it was pretty stellar even for our expectations. I had the Frisco burger- man oh man! Sourdough toast with Parmesan coating, candied bacon and guacamole plus great burger and cheese. I could only eat half and had the other half for breakfast the next day. The fries are the best fries I've had in a long time, and the service was great. Even tho it is a self serve kind of place, they came and took our trays & trash. My husband had the hot pastrami with a side of smoky Gouda mac-n-cheese. It was sublime! The prices aren't cheap but neither is rent in prime downtown Paso Robles plus nice renovations to the building. Even the fountain diet Coke was mixed properly and tasted great. Props to the Stein team, we will definitely be back. ☺

Had lunch with my parents there. Tri tip sandwich was excellent tender will flavored meat cooked on the rare side. Great tasting and very big sandwich. Only comment is the amount of salsa is small, they should offer the salsa as side fish, it was also very good.

Okay, if I were to rate Steins BBQ on the food, I would have given it four stars. But because of the prices, I'm giving it a 2. $14.95 for a standard size pulled pork sandwich (with a very small side) is just too much. Especially for a place with simple counter service.....you place the order at the counter and pick it up when it's ready, and clean your own table. I think they are charging about 25% more than they should.
Perhaps their catering business is making the bulk of the money, but I would suggest revisiting pricing in the retail restaurant end of it.
