I have stayed there twice throughout July on business and I didn't have any major complaints. The staff is super friendly. I had an issue where the toilet handle was broken on the inside of the tank and the guy fixed it within a few minutes of me calling the front desk. Great customer service. The only gripe I have is with the water pressure from the shower and sink. The first time I stayed there, it was fine. The most recent visit, however, the pressure was very weak. Other than that, my stays were great.

The floors in the rooms are very dirty. They don’t scrub them well, and they’re always out of towels and rags. We have stayed there over the past 1-2 years, and I have to scrub the floors 4-5 times before my mop water is even clear. Dog/cat hair is always all over everything in the rooms. We’ve seen live and dead roaches in the rooms.

We have never had an issue with Stay Apt in Dothan until recently, when corporate sent in a manager named Sherry (she wouldn’t tell her last name) until they got a permanent one to fill the position. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. She banged on my door in the morning time because I had just set out the garbage, and it wasn’t there more than 5 minutes. I always clean our rooms to help out, so that’s what I was working on before I left. She was very rude to my kids, telling them they needed to “leave now” because a coffee cup was ACCIDENTALLY dropped by my 6 year old. In her words, because of that, my kids are destructive. They have made a home out of this place because we’re there so much for work trips. They leave things laying around occasionally, and I’m normally on top of them, but sometimes I don’t realize they’ve left something in the courtyard. Sherry found my 6 year old’s Nike shoes, and instead of taking them to lost and found, she threw them away! On top of that, my husband caught her on the way to the dumpster with my daughter’s skates. I was very up front and blunt about how much of a snotty manager she was, and she continued to talk bad about my children and tell me that I am a horrible mother, and said it more than once. I admit I did call her an ugly word after that, but it was much deserved after the way we were treated. Let me I reiterate that we have NEVER had an issue here until she came. My brother and sister in law were in the room next to us, and she was rude to them as well, for no reason, not to mention her bursting IN their room in the morning to ask if they were staying. No knocking, she just let herself in and came into the room. I will always recommend Stay Apt, so long as this lady isn’t there.

It’s pet friendly, and the apartments are spacious. Mike at StayApt in Dothan deserves the world! He is the hardest working, kindest person I have ever met. He works from the moment he starts his shift to the moment he clocks out. He deserves the manager position and a pay raise. He is hands down the most exceptional person and would make a WONDERFUL manager. He does it all, cleaning, restocking the rooms, literally everything. We love him and he would be the only reason we ever return to stay apt.

Great room. Great location. Housekeeping comes every 7 days. It is not very reliable, and they didn't clean our sheets, so double check.
Laundry room (washer and dryers can be dirty and smelly), fitness room, common outdoor area with firplace, couches, grills.
No pool, no breakfast.
Right next to Walmart and many food options.
It can be a little loud as every room faces the common outdoor area.
Front desk staff were very nice and always helpful. If we had any issue, they would take care of it.

First, the good.

The room was very clean and had a lot of nice features; the kitchen was sparkling clean and had dishes and basic pots and pans. The TV's are huge and have YouTube and Netflix built into them. Very nice.

The bad.

This hotel has, possibly, the thinnest walls I have EVER encountered in a hotel in my entire life. I expect SOME noise in a hotel, that's life, but I do NOT expect to be able to hear an entire conversation in excruciating detail through the walls. For some inexplicable reason, all the rooms face a central courtyard, so if anyone is IN the courtyard, voices and noise just echo and ricochet back and forth. I cannot stress to you enough how freaking LOUD this place was; if I hadn't brought earplugs, I would've lost my damn mind.

The water pressure is abysmal. It's literally a trickle like from a garden hose. It took me a solid 10 minutes to rinse shampoo out of my hair.

The location is nice; it's right by a Wal-Mart and across the street from Target and several other stores and restaurants.

But again. LOUD. SO LOUD.

Will never stay here again.

This is our first time staying at StayApt and we were surprised how nice the rooms are. They do not have free breakfast and they don't have an elevator so be sure to ask for the first floor. I hope they open more locations because this is going to be a preferred hotel for us in the future.

Right off hwy, in great area. Great for folks needing to stay a few days or a week or more. Great security; excellant rooms: kitchen, with stove, full size fridge, microwave, sink, some dishes etc. t.v. Great beds etc. Nice shower Price was very good.

Rooms are nice ans spacious. Always have been very clean for my stays. Has full fridge, and stove for cooking on those extended stays. Also you can use the grill on the patio. For those who those matters to the place is a smokefree zone even where the grill is located in the courtyard. That being said if you are a smoker there are outposts outside the building on the corner of the building.... there is no shade there so you would be a 3rd class citizen in that regard.
Office Hours are adequate. The free wifi is extremely slow and the paid wifi is slower tham what you would get through using your own phone. The heafty pricepoint is reducing the value for money since there are large chain hotels within walking distance nearby that have even more adminities. Coinless washer and dryer on site.
One major plus is all doors are scan doors so if you don't have a key you will not be entering...place seems very secure... I have had a total of over 80 days at this location over multiple visit and everything notes has remained consistency

Great, clean, spacious hotel. The rooms are a little over 509 sq feet, full kitchen, living area with sofa bed. We stayed overnight on our way to the beach, family of four. It was great. No “free” breakfast, but the room was about $60 cheaper than area hotel rooms with as much space (Home2, Residence). The layout is interesting, 2 floors, no elevator (that I saw) inside there is an open air courtyard with access to the rooms. So, your door is technically outside, but inside a secure area only accessible by your key. The courtyard has a shared Grill and a fire pit with some tables. There are some local|workers who take advantage of the extended stay aspect, but we found it great for one night.
