Stayed here for a night with friends. Location makes it a bit tricky to get to. They are obviously going thru a major renovation and face lift. Entrance/lobby was clean and bright. Front desk attendant was friendly. Halls have been repainted but the carpeting hadn't been covered so splattered paint was evident. Room was clean; no odors. Bathroom was bright and clean. Plenty of towels. TV was good sized. Room refrigerator worked fine. All was fine until I pulled back the sheets on the bed. There was an empty, shot sized "Fireball" liquor bottle under the sheets. Made a thorough bed check along with the 2nd bed; no more surprises. Pool was out of order. The continental breakfast is very basic: mini-donuts, cold cereal, etc. The waffle iron was out of order. No doubt, once the renovation is complete, this will be a nice place. Right now, it is average.

The room was above average. However the bathroom could have been serviced more effectively; faucet hardware was sticky. Also, the toilet stopper leaked, causing the tank to repeatedly "top off" to replace the leaking water.
Staff which we interacted with were pleasant and mostly responsive.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Very limited offerings, and the waffle batter ran out without any attempt to refill the container, despite requests. The resulting breakfast was a bowl of cold cereal and a partially heated English muffin.
Location was behind other businesses, but at least it was quiet overnight.

So booked through Expedia where this hotel was rated Very Good. Lesson learned. The room was scary bad. White gum stuck to the top of a white marble ledge, furnishings in disrepair, cleaning rags left on the top of the closet shelf, no towels in the bathroom. We left and the manager told me I would be refunded once I contacted Expedia. When Expedia contacted the manager he said it would violate his refund policy. I did not get refunded.

Summary: guest comfort is NOT a priority of the hotel manager, TUSHAR PATEL. Smoke alarm missing. Extremely low quality mattress. Couch and coffee table were removed from room and a full size fridge was in their place. Breakfast was subpar - no hot eggs or sausages, coffee empty, cereal was stale.

Details: When booking our 2 night stay in January 2025, the hotel staff DID NOT mention the on-going construction and limited breakfast options at the hotel. Upon our late arrival to the hotel, we were assigned Room 323. The king bed literally was shaped like a bowl! When inquiring with staff the next morning, we mentioned the "bowl" bed in our room. Staff asked if we were in room 323? YES we were! Their front desk has received multiple complaints about the bed! Later when requesting a free night's stay with the manager, TUSHAR PATEL, he noted there have been NO complaints about the bed from guests. He was extremely rude and dismissive to my wife. We did receive 50% off the first night and were moved to a different room, Room 225. However, this room did not have a smoke alarm - fire code violation! At midnight on the second night, workers began loudly pounding in the room directly above us! Apparently, the QUIET HOURS of 10pm to 6am is NOT applicable to the hotel staff and workers, only the guests. We could not check out soon enough and will not be back while TUSHAR PATEL is the hotel manager.

We were willing to stick it out the first night despite the plaster dust and construction debris littering the hallways and rooms and the unsettling stains and scratches on the furniture (which appeared to be taken off the curb). Then my daughter unfolded the “clean” towels to find what appeared to be feces on them. We left immediately and have filed a complaint with the La Crosse County Health Department.

Not best experience. Booked directly to hotel - I asked specifically if they had a hot tub, yes, they have one, but they DID NOT mention it was out of order, yet offered no price reduction. Bathroom door does not close. Carpet very dirty. Price charged was higher than advertised on their own website.
One positive- beds comfy, but too high to get in easily.

EYES WIDE OPEN YA'LL. They are remodeling to become a Spark by Hilton, but they have a long way to go in customer service and amenities to be a Hilton property. In the midst of the remodel it is the customer getting short changed. I can't imagine Hilton is aware of this but they are barely able to function as a hotel and they have zero amenities available. In fact, a clean bed and shower is very literally it. They would be better to close down take a few weeks to rebrand and then reopen.

Convenient to I-90. It’s a room with a bed, nicer conditions than most similar hotels in the same class. This is not Hampton inn or a courtyard—it’s a basic room with clean sheets and a shower. Filled the bill for my son and I on our way out west to hunt where our accommodations would be far more austere. We were able to get a decent night’s sleep and get back on the road to get to our destination. Relatively secure and pet friendly.
