I used to LOVE this location, but it has gone through some changes recently that make it less desirable. While it is conveniently close to the slopes in Tahoe, the amenities are not convenient. First, their "hot tub" is more like a luke-warm tub. In fact, the pool was almost as warm as the "hot tub" and during the winter evenings, it would be nice to soak up some heat...especially since they only have showers in the rooms. Also, they have instituted a $20 "amenities fee" which is funny, since the amenities are not that great. Breakfast is good here, but apparently, that was always part of your bill. Another funny thing, a couple of stays ago, I sat in the lounge in the evening talking with a friend and they kicked us out, because we did not order form the lounge menu. There were only 2 other people in there at the time...rude to say the least. Customer service is pretty low and I always feel like I am bothering the staff when I have a question or need. To sum it up, I will be staying in another hotel the next time I go to the slopes. It is not worth the money to stay here and feel like I am a bother.

Overall, the hotel was very clean very nice looking and very well kept. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff was absolutely wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay here. Parking was very secure. It was downstairs in the garage. And all we didn’t know we had to pay for parking, it was still a safe and secure place. I would’ve liked to go outside, and I think it would be a nice place to have an event.

Very nice room. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was really good. They loose a star for charging $20/night for parking. I hate added surprise fees and it's completely unnecessary. The parking lot and garage were never more than 3/4 full the whole time I was there.

We enjoyed the outdoor patio, gathering with family in town for a wedding. The room was nice and it was quickly cleaned every day. Breakfast was very good, with a server plating your choices of hot dishes (not the typical serve yourself). The sofa beds are probably great for sleeping, but not so comfortable for sitting. The bathrooms need wall hooks. And note there is a daily parking charge, although there are no alternatives and no reason non guests would park there.

With 7 weddings in one weekend, I knew that the staff would be busy. From the moment we walked in late Thursday night to leaving early Sunday morning — I was impressed by the cleanliness, professionalism, and that I had no issues with noise. The breakfast is amazing, and staff are friendly and relatable. Housekeeping also tidied our room and arranged some of our personal bedding on the bed. Out of all the hotels I’ve been to (and worked at) I’m impressed and cannot recommend this place enough. We came to Auburn for a funeral and it was amazing to have our accommodation exceed my expectations.

Great stay and easy stop up to Tahoe. Complimentary breakfast. Book directly vs. a third party if you want Marriott points. They lose a star for charging $20 for parking 🙄.

I helped plan and attended a seminar at this hotel and the experience was amazing from the polite and helpful staff to the cleanliness, continental style display of delicious foods and spectacular views. I highly recommend having a conference or seminar at this location. It would also be amazing for small weddings with that gorgeous view of the Sierras. The location is close to the freeway for ease of access but on a hill so you do not see the freeway.

I travel frequently and have business events about twice a month and this was by far the best experience I and my team have had with a venue. As soon as you enter the lobby you can tell that something is very right about this place. The accommodations are beautiful and there is lots to do in the area but I really can not say enough good things about Melissa and her team. (I wish I could find my list of all the staff names) There is not a single person working here that wasn't invested in making sure my event went well and who checked in when they saw me. And every event is expected to have a glitch or two but at the most minor hint of any problem the maintenance, IT, housekeeping, kitchen or management team would swoop in like ninjas and resolve it without disrupting our training.||Ask about the Mountain View room on the corner, your insta will thank you!|| ||Bottom line- I would 100% fully recommend this location, its beautiful, has great amenities and most of all has a well cared for staff that take great pride and care in providing the best experience for its guests.
