Truly the happiest day of our lives! There are not enough words to express how grateful we are for the team at Sparrow Valley Retreat. From the moment we stepped foot on their property back in October 2022 in anticipation of our October 2024 wedding day, we know this would be the location we would exchange our vows. With about 40 guests in attendance this day, including my vendors, we had the most magical ceremony beneath the towering redwood trees. Our stay was incredible and extremely memorable. The favorite part was staring into the night sky through the windows and seeing all the stars. We cannot thank everyone enough for all the sweat and tears that were poured into this hot autumn day!

We had such an unforgettable experience at Sparrow Valley Retreat for our elopement in the majestic California Redwoods!

First and foremost, I must commend Tania for her exceptional level of accommodation. Despite our last-minute request, she went above and beyond to ensure that our elopement was saved. Our original plan was cancelled due to emergency weather, and she stepped up to make sure we could keep our wedding date!

As we stepped into the Redwood Cathedral, we were immediately captivated by its natural beauty and serenity. The towering trees provided a breathtaking backdrop, casting a sense of awe and wonder that perfectly complemented the significance of our special day. The space itself was nothing short of magical. Tucked away amidst the lush greenery, it offered the perfect blend of seclusion and warmth.

Our elopement was a dream come true, thanks in large part to the accommodating host, Tania, who made it all possible. If you're searching for a truly magical setting to exchange your vows and create lasting memories, look no further. This hidden oasis in the redwoods is a gem waiting to be discovered, and we feel immensely grateful to have experienced its beauty on our special day!!

I was so beyond pleased with photographing this beautiful venue for a wedding in Aptos, California. The grounds were beautiful, along with this home. In the morning, the sun streams through the trees and fog creating a magical glow everywhere you look. The house is well lit with plenty of windows, a photographers dream! The hike down to the river is a fun little adventure. And there are a ton of amazing spots with the trees to take photos. I was never stressed about lighting or locations, everything about Sparrow Valley Retreat is beautiful. The owners were around with their daughter and dog to check in and see how things were going throughout the wedding day. I hope to be back in the future for another wedding in these incredible Redwoods.

Sparrow Valley Retreat was an absolute perfect venue for our private family wedding.  This location is such an ideal place to relax and be one with nature – a rare moment in our life when we can escape from the bustling city life.  The lodge and cathedral are impressively built and maintained.  Tania and Taylor took care of everything we needed for our special day.  Can’t wait to come back here for our future anniversaries!

This venue is absolutely stunning. Tania does so much as the owner. She is constantly improving the property and striving to make it better and better. She is very hands on and helpful in any way she can be. Pictures do not do this place any kind of justice. Not only does it make for breathtaking photos, the reception area is very intimate. This place has it all, lodging, ceremony area, long farm tables for dinner, dance floor and bar area. Although the location is a little bit of a trek, it is so worth it when you reach the end result. The venue needs very little decoration in my opinion because it is so beautiful on its own. Long lasting memories will be made in this magical place. This venue has so much to offer and we are beyond thrilled to have called it our wedding venue. Due yourself a solid and tour this place, I promise you will fall in love.

I had the opportunity to photograph a session at Sparrow Valley retreat recently, and it is a little slice of heaven! You'll feel relaxed like you are at home and at the same time inspired and invigorated being among the trees. It's a photographers dream. Many choices of backdrops, gorgeous light and a friendly staff to welcome you like part of the family. It's tucked away in the woods, but close to town with many food and shopping options nearby. Love this place so much. It was our wedding venue. We went back recently to stay for a weekend and reminisce. Such a peaceful, beautiful spot out in the redwoods. The outdoor bath and sauna are amazing at night.

Visited for a wedding.. nice spot.. the host Tatiana was unprofessional.. drinking wine during a wedding that had no alcohol. They ate dinner with the wedding guests.. beautiful spot.. just could've been better.. definitely overpriced for what you get.
