We visited while it was snowing and received excellent service! I wish I could remember our server, as she had the special sauce. The bacon burger was delicious, and the fries were amazing.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all. They were busy which was nice to see. It didn't take long for us to get a table. Servers were friendly and recommended different things as we were visiting for the first time. She warned us the portions were big and we didn't believe her. She was right but it was worth the leftovers. Fries are steak style if you like them that way. Would look forward to seeing new things rotating through their menu in the future. Definitely going to bring my out of town friends and family here.

Food was pretty good, breakfast burger was a bit over done and breakfast sandwich had very little avocado smash on it. Food prep time was advertised on the front as being made to order, totally fine and appreciated! However, several parties that arrived after us received their food first and my partner and I waited far too long for our food to come.
We loved the aesthetic of the restaurant and want to try it again to support local business in Lake Arrowhead.

To be honest, when we walked in I didn’t know what to expect but the place had good reviews so I went with it…
Pleasantly surprised with the food! We ordered the veggie soup of the day and different sandwiches. All were equally delicious. And those fries were pretty close to amazing!
I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to stop by here and enjoy a good meal. The server was very nice and friendly as well!

Came here after trying to find vegan friendly food while visiting Lake Arrowhead. We tried two of the vegan burgers- they were made in house and SO GOOD. Also had to try the beignets- the strawberry sauce was vegan friendly!

Really pretty mural on the wall!

Mom got the vegan nuggets... They were overcooked but the fries were great.

Spade and Spatula is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious farm to table food and exceptional service. I loved the fresh and flavorful Grilled Salmon Salad, perfectly cooked and paired with vibrant greens. My group loved the blue cheese hamburgers, which were juicy and satisfying, amd the beef dip, while the 5-star French fries are exceptionally crispy deep golden perfection. Our server, Cat, was incredibly sweet and attentive, adding a personal touch to the experience. With great food, stellar service, and a cozy atmosphere, Spade and Spatula is truly a hidden gem!

As locals in Lake Arrowhead, we are deeply disappointed with this restaurant’s behavior. The service was appalling, and the surprise charges on our bill were shocking. We placed a takeout order and were only told after ordering that there was a mandatory 20% “auto service charge”—for takeout! This is unheard of in any city, let alone here.

We were kept on hold for at least 20 minutes, repeatedly transferred, and even hung up on once. When we finally got our order, it was wrong, and we were charged for items we didn’t order. Despite pointing this out, we still paid for the incorrect items out of frustration and the desire to just leave.

This venue prides itself on being LGBTQ-friendly, but the experience was far from welcoming. My husband and I, along with other patrons, were ignored when we arrived. Despite the visible signs of love and equality, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable from the moment we stepped in.

It’s clear that profits come before ethics here. A 20% “auto service charge” for takeout burgers is completely unacceptable. As locals, we cannot recommend this place. This kind of behavior is not reflective of the Lake Arrowhead community and is a poor example for both visitors and residents alike.

Very worth the wait!! One of the best burgers I've ever had, amazing fresh strawberry lemonade, and great fries. Large portion sizes. Absolutely recommend.
