Absolutely beautiful surroundings with very,very nice spacious villas that are super clean and cozy. The staff is top-notch and the food is phenomenal. Drop everything and book your stay here! Make sure you include the dog sledding and the snow mobile excursions and be ready to have the time of your life!!!!

We loved our stay in a beautiful cabin with outstanding scenery and breathtaking views in every direction. We enjoyed a hike followed by a dip in the lake and then into the sauna. Food is delicious.

This place is a slice of heaven! Amazing staff (Christele, Tara, David) , beautiful cabins, and unbelievable scenery and quiet. We saw the northern lights both nights we were there and we wished we had stayed longer. We swam in the lake, went canoeing and hiking.... had a bonfire and mostly just soaked up the relaxation and the view.

I had the best experience staying at Southern Lakes Resort in March! The cabin was cozy, the staff were so friendly, the food was delicious and the scenery was beautiful!

We took snowmobiles out for the morning across the lake and even though it was cold, it was incredible! I even saw the Northern Lights out the window on the second night we stayed. Highly recommend this beautiful resort, I'll need to come back and check it out in the Summer months!

This place is our home away from home, a true Yukon Gem that's so close to Whitehorse. My wife and I discovered this place about 8 years ago and it's been one of our favourite places to visit in the Yukon. Sometimes we will go for a nice drive and a meal, or for a little retreat. We have been here at all times of the year, and each time it's consistently beautiful. The team delivers great customer service, the food is cooked fresh, and it's delicious. Staying in the 2 bedroom luxury family suite with hot tub, and propane fireplace is incredible, and the views of the water and mountains are just amazing. If you're looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle, come out here and enjoy a nice time in the wilderness with some home comforts. In the past we've signed up for dog sledding, kayaking, snow shoe, snow-mobiling packages, and we even had a fishing charter pick us up from their dock.
Ensure you phone ahead to make reservations for the restaurant, and be prepared to drive 10 miles on a narrow, gravel road... it's worth it though, you won't be disappointed!!!

Just finished a 4 night stay in the deluxe villa and had a great time. No, didn't see the Northern Lights, but no one had any control over that. However, the time was well spent. We dog sled one day, rode snow mobiles another day, just plain hiked on a third day, as well as just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. What great fun.||The staff was excellent. Enjoyed the conversations with them about their experiences and world travels. The owner was very helpful throughout the stay. This is a small resort, but that is what makes it special. You aren't overwhelmed with tons of tourists and you're not treated like just another customer. I felt like I was visiting old friends.||My only advice is to avoid Air Canada. Much better service and more flight options to Whitehorse using Air North.

Loved it! Beautiful setting. Remote, off the grid (but you’d never know it) location. No light pollution to spoil your view. The most beautiful stars I’ve ever seen. Warm cabin with everything you need. We rented the cold weather gear which was high quality and very warm. Excellent food (thank you Dane). Amazing staff (thank you Rachel and Crystal and the tall Brit and the blonde Brit). Oliver picked us up from the airport (on time and great conversationalist). We dogsledded with Renee and Connor - what an experience! Snowmobiling with Matt was great - we’ve never done it, he was a great teacher. We would love to return.
