While in the area, we decided to poke our heads into South Fork. The atmosphere was warm and buzzing. The outdoor seating boasts a large green belt behind the restaurant with a perfect view of the outdoors while you enjoy a tasty meal. The spiral cut beer battered fries were a fantastic treat partnered to it's main course of smoke brisket. The seat yourself service was a nice option for preferences, and being dog friendly, it was a pleasure to see pups enjoying the setting as well. A little higher on the price range of eating options but a pleasurable experience on a beautiful day.

I’m hesitant to review this place because I’d like to keep it a secret, but I think the secret is already out. A casual dining experience with good quality food and a variety of menu options. For me this place is a “pick your pleasure post-adventure.” Indoor seating, outdoor seating, and some options in between. Definitely a family friendly joint where the adults can adult while the kids are safe to be kids with space to roam and activities to indulge in (weather dependent). Only downside is that on a sunny day this place seems to be the place to be.

So glad I found this spot on Google Maps. Even though it was a cool November day, we enjoyed sitting outside at a picnic table. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Looks like it would be really lively in the evening too. We had the banh mi bowl and brisket Mac and cheese. Both were delicious and well deserved after hiking in the area. Next time we are in the area, I’d love to come for breakfast too!

After driving back from Leavenworth to Seattle, we had heard numerous positive reviews about South Fork, which heightened our expectations for lunch. However, our experience was somewhat disappointing. While the dishes were visually appealing, the flavors did not quite meet our expectations. The coffee was enjoyable, but my chicken curry fell short of what I had anticipated, as it seemed to reflect a Western interpretation of the dish. My husband ordered macaroni and cheese, and it was good.

South Fork North Bend is an excellent choice for a relaxed family outing. It’s especially great if you’re looking for a place where kids can play and have fun while you enjoy a meal. The space is vast, offering plenty of room to play, eat, and refresh, making it easy to spend time with your loved ones without feeling crowded. Another plus is the ample parking, which is a relief compared to many other places where finding a spot can be a hassle.

The food options are varied and cater to different tastes, which is always a bonus when dining with family. I ordered the avocado and egg Benedict, and it came with crispy hash browns on the side—everything was delicious and well-prepared. For my daughter, I got the waffles, and they were a hit—her plate was completely empty by the end, which speaks volumes about how good they were!

Overall, I found the food at South Fork to be fresh and flavorful, and the entire experience was enjoyable. It’s a fantastic spot to relax, let the kids have fun, and enjoy a good meal together. Definitely recommend for family gatherings!

Pricey for cafeteria style, but find atmosphere, super nice staff, and clean bathrooms. The mac & cheese is phenomenal! ($20 for a miniature cast-iron skillet of it)

We stopped in before heading back to our home on the eastern part of the state. Ordered the chicken and waffles and the crispy chicken sando. Very delicious! Chicken was perfect and their french fries are thick and well seasoned. The staff was friendly and the restaurant including the bathrooms were very clean.

My family and I were blown away by the experience at South Fork North Bend. We'd heard great things, but weren't prepared for everything they offer.

First of all, the food was excellent. Comfort food with just a hint of elevated cuisine. It was hard to choose, but when I saw the egg salad sandwich I just had to try it. It was phenomenal, with a complex flavor combination.

After you've ordered, soak in the atmosphere, both indoors and out. Inside feels like a mountain lodge, but it's the outdoor areas that really set this place apart. Nestled into a valley with a great view and plenty of room,
there's nothing else like it.

Combine all of that with their excellent selection of drinks from local breweries and you'll find your new favorite place for any occasion.
