John gave us fantastic valet service for our company. Very impressed by him. He also recommended a great restaurant nearby that overlooked the ocean. The rooms were clean and pillows and beds comfortable. Checking in was easy and fast. Overall great experience

The hotel was clean and comfortable— the rooms spacious and well-equipped— and its pier-adjacent location (a fairly brief walk to a fully accessible beach and nearby stores and restaurants) was convenient.

Particularly worth noting is the customer service provided. Kevin, who was manning the reception desk, was remarkably efficient, responsive, and professional. He helped resolve a small (non-hotel related) obstacle I’d encountered and followed up with me to ensure everything was properly resolved.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sonesta this past weekend. Our young son accompanied us and we found the hotel to be very toddler friendly and easy to navigate. The rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The best part of this stay was the kind woman at the front desk, Kimberly. We checked in later in the evening and she helped us to get checked in quickly so that our fussy toddler could get to bed. I highly recommended this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Redondo Beach.

The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. I really don’t care for the heavy comforters. I am either too hot with it on or too cold with it off. The bathroom
Door is a plantation style and can be embarrassing with noises and odors! A big plus is the lighted magnifying mirror.
There are lots of outlets for chargers and phones.
The staff is excellent. They are quick to assist and very friendly.
We came at New Years and the Christmas decor was beautiful.
Parking is steep, with valet being only $3 more
It feels safe, there are several eating establishments and the wharf is right across the street.

Stayed here for a wedding. The linens and pluming could definitely use improvement. The showers didn’t drain and the towels didn’t smell as fresh as you would want for a hotel stay. The pool was a nice temperature and salt water so that was refreshing. I do wish the pool deck was a little nicer but sitting in a lounge chair and floating still was a nice way to spend the day. The views facing the water were great! The lobby is nice, the bar was great for wedding welcome drinks and the prices at the hotel shop were very reasonable! Beware of fees for early check in, they seemed to vary in our group. But they do have a locked room for luggage!

Just stayed at this hotel and would not recommend it. I remember this hotel before it became the Sonesta and while they upgraded the lobby, the rooms still look pretty outdated. When I went to check in, there was a big group in front of me and only one person working the desk so I waited in line for 10-15 minutes before being helped. The person checking me in was great through and super courteous. When we booked the reservation, I asked for a crib. We asked again when checking in but had to request it for a third time before they left it outside of our room. It ended up working out though and met our needs. Unfortunately, their housekeeping did not follow protocol in resetting the alarm so our infant was woken up at 6am by a rouge alarm going off. When I went to escalate my concerns upon check out, there was really no service recovery effort. Just an apology. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

From the moment we walked in to the hotel EVERY EMPLOYEE was helpful and friendly. Especially Joe and Kevin at the front desk who are considerate, knowledgeable and friendly. Great parking options from valet to covered self-park to neighborhood parking. Rooms clean and neat with comfy beds. Amazing location with plenty to walk to and can’t beat seeing the sun set each day. We would come back and highly recommend this hotel.
