This locally owned restaurant serves excellent Mediterranean food in a casual relaxed dining room. They make their own (delightful) gelato, the salads are large and extremely fresh, and the pasta is never overcooked. I have had both the Cajun chicken pasta and the spaghetti with meatballs. Sokalata easily has the best red sauce in the Kanawha Valley! I am looking forward to trying the pizza and calzones next. Also: There is plenty of parking, a drive-thru pickup window and the ladies room is always clean and fully stocked.

Service was exceptional! They even made my kiddo a sub that wasn’t on the menu! We had the multi cheese pizza and it was delicious! I’m very picky about Alfredo sauce, but their sauce was very good! Thanks for a great lunch! Also loved the homemade chips!

***The menu prices are more expensive than what you find on Google and on their FB page!
We found the restaurant to be rather dirty, and it had an unpleasant odor that smelled like dirty mop water that was unappetizing from the moment we walked in.
It being our first time, we weren't sure what the protocol was, so we stood awkwardly in the entryway for quite a long time before being helped. Once we made it to our seats, we rarely saw our server again.
The gyro was quite good, and the taziki sauce tasted fresh and light. My daughter liked the cheese sticks, and they came out nice and hot w/ a side of marinara. They do not have lemons if you prefer lemon in your water or tea. The sweet tea tasted very bad.
The bathrooms were not clean, and everything seemed a bit outdated and in need of elbow grease and maintenance.

Entered and seated ourselves, waitress hiding behind counter playing with her phone. Service was slow, most likely because the waitress kept goofing off on her phone. Overwhelming smell of floor cleaner, bucket left out in the middle of the restaurant for our entire visit. Waitress notably didn’t wash hands in between touching mop bucket, phone, napkins for guests, dirty dishes, credit cards, etc.
Gyro was not good. Meat tasted decent, but overly dry. Bread was decent, but it had some kind of oil spread across it; oil had a very unappealing taste. Sauce wasn’t spread across the gyro, rather it was in a huge pile on one end of the gyro. In the end, just ate the meat, the bread was that off putting.
Jalapeño poppers were outstanding. Ranch dipping sauce was also great.
“Londan” was really good. The bread was perfect and the flavors were just right, a really good sandwich.
Chips that came with the sandwiches are really good.
Had to ask to get our check, waitress took my credit card and then started helping a new customer without processing my payment giving him distracted service while making us wait for no good reason.

The absolute best spaghetti ever!!!! I had just got out of the hospital and this restaurant is right across the street. So convenient! I loved everything. I'll admit it was crowded but everyone was friendly and happy. I needed salt and a young girl at the next table over passed their salt over to me. The tables are very, very close. It's a small restaurant but I'm telling you the food is worth it.

First time here. EZ parking out front. Great, friendly service! They serve Italian and Greek food....pizza, calzones, Greek salad, Gyros, sub sandwiches, lasagna, and much more. I'm sure much of it is tasty and good, and there's a big variety. Today, I had a Greek side salad with feta cheese and 2 calamata olives and 2 cherry tomatoes. It was OK. Then, a gyro that didn't taste at all like seasoned lamb. It tasted like beef and nothing like the gyro meat should taste like. The tazaki sauce was all at the end, and I had to open the gyro and spread it myself.....weird. They also heavily toasted the pita bread to the point that it was almost burnt beyond being edible to eat. That's all I was tasting in this gyro was the burned pita. Even the tazaki sauce tasted bland. I'm sure there's some good redeeming dishes to be had. It's just not going to be the writers cup of tea for the future. You decide.
