The hotel is going through a lot of renovations over the few days I've been here. Even with that, the staff hasn't failed to deliver excellent service and the construction hasn't interrupted my sleep or anything for that matter. Still rough around the edges but that's to be expected. Would absolutely stay here again if I'm given the chance!

Also, the mini omelettes at breakfast are amazing!

My wonderful Wife of 38 years insisted that I accompany her to the Oxford/Anniston area for some mandatory training she had to attend for a week. I had bigger plans of staying home, eating donuts and cake for breakfast. Because I so love and support her every endeavor, I relented and accompanied her. This would be our first stay at a Sleep Inn. We were very pleasantly surprised to find this particular hotel in Oxford had decent beds even when compared to some of the higher priced chains. There was some renovations going on at the time, but we experienced minimal inconvenience. I don't know where management found Thomas and the staff at this location but they are simply to die for! He sets the standard of service and everyone else matches his standard of care and hospitality step for step. Everyone goes above and beyond to accommodate any reasonable request. In my case, due to my condition, some that bordered on unreasonable. The desk clerk on the night shift at the front desk, the cook in the kitchen, and the housekeeping staff were all superb. If you’re looking for a good room at a good price with great customer service, I highly recommend the Sleep Inn in Oxford, Alabama. My visit left me feeling that there are still some good people in this world. Some "really" good people. As for my wonderful Wife, she let me have a donut on the ride back home!

We have stayed in every hotel chain imaginable but had never stayed at a Sleep Inn until a few weeks ago. This is our second stay here. We were very pleasantly surprised to find this particular hotel in Oxford had the best beds out of any hotel at which we have stayed, including the $200+ a night chains. We didn’t wake up hurting like crazy because the mattress is medium soft instead of like a rock in other hotels. This particular Sleep Inn is being renovated at the time of this writing but we were never inconvenienced in any way. Ric Roxley is the GM and he is on top of everything. Thomas at the front desk is a JEWEL! He goes above and beyond to accommodate any request and he is the reason we returned to Sleep Inn on our trip. Outstanding customer service! Pinky on the night shift at the front desk, Maria in the kitchen, and the numerous housekeeping staff are all gems. Ric has done a great job in picking caring people to staff the hotel. Breakfast is served each morning with a variety of hot foods, bagels/breads/pastries, cereals, oatmeal, waffles, and more. Restaurants abound in the area within walking distance or a short drive. Even though the hotel is just off a main road, we didn’t hear traffic noise in our room. If you’re looking for good room at a good price with great customer service, this Sleep Inn fits the bill. It’s also dog friendly!

I have used this hotel quite frequently in the past year traveling back and forth between Texas and Alabama checking on my brother. I used to frequent here because of the location but that all ended today! I would always book a reservation on the choice hotel website. I would pay the charges upon check in using my debit card with no issue. So low and behold today, the clerk, I did not get his name. He was East Indian descent. Upon walking in I went thru the check in process and when it was time to pay, I present my Chase bank card to pay. The clerk proceeds to tell me that they dont accept Chase cards. I was like why not considering I've paid with that same bank card the previous times I stayed there. I was angry cause I had been on the road 11 1/2 hours driving from Texas to Oxford, AL and now I had no room! He then said I had to pay $150 deposit on top of the astronomical rate for a 3 night stay. The room charge was already $404 for 3 nights and you want another $150 on top of that! Absolutely not! I was never charged a $150 deposit before so why now? I overlooked a lot of issues by staying here, yes the rooms are dingy and dirty, yes the rooms always smelled like mildew, and the carpet had questionable stains but I stayed cause my brother needed me here. This mediocre hotel charging prices like it is a 4 or 5 star establishment and it is not! I will not be patronizing this hotel anymore. Luckily I was able to find other arrangements at the last minute. I will stay elsewhere moving forward. The one bright spot is Thomas the front desk clerk was always nice the times I stayed there.
