I've stayed here a lot this year. It's convenient for working in Birmingham as it's not far. TV's remotes don't swap inputs so you have to ask for a different remote from the desk. Breakfast is cold at times. Only the "high traffic areas" of the rooms are cleaned... Ever. I'm attaching pictures of my last stay here for this year. Unfortunately, behind the desk was all kinds of trash. Behind and next to the bed closest to the A/C was trash/ food. Hair was left in the bottom of the shower that wasn't from me as I saw it as soon as I got in the room. A gigantic ant crawled across the desk, which I'll attach. I'd seen a roach on the wall behind the desk on a different stay. The hotel is usually cheap but come on... I expect more from a Choice Hotels chain.

Wonderful friendly staff. Clean rooms with plenty of towels and washcloths. Bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good. I had no issues checking in. I felt appreciated for my business and refreshed. Great location to the Hoover Met. Plenty of restaurants around the location. Great stay.

I love it very quiet. Very clean pool. Exercise room is a plus. Front desk staff is very patient and very kind and understanding. I would most definitely come back here.

Booked hotel out of convenience. Big mistake.
Desk guy seemed friendly at first, but slowly went downhill for the two nights we were here. Didn’t notice the musty smell at first, but got worse as we were there. Fridge quit working after about an hour, adding to the awful smell in the room.
Breakfast was gross and looked like it had been left out from day prior, both nights we stayed.
Booked 2 reservations and charged us an additional pet fee checking us into second reservation. We have a small dog, very quiet, and does not make a mess. He should have had his own room for that price.
We should have known from the emptiness of the parking lot and the abandoned Pizza Hut right next door. Never again.

The outside and lobby were clean, but the room had mold in the shower and bathroom wall. The sliding door wouldn't close, and the room smelled like a lot of smoking was going on. This hotel was a quick stop on a tight budget.

Exceptionally clean - from reception to the breakfast area to the room! Beautiful room with 4-star mattress and pillows. Single rate $106 (including taxes/fees) Easy access to I-20 heading east just outside Tuscaloosa, AL; restaurants and gas stations just around the corner from the Inn. BTW, I was a walk-in with no reservation.
