Really felt like a part of Alaska here
Unlike Juneau which felt commercial. WHAT is with a jewelry store every 20 feet in Juneau
Where are the local artists and representatives for Alaska?

We were actually just walking around beautiful downtown Skagway. It seems like a town I could spend a lot more time in. No stoplights, very peaceful.

4 of us walked into the visitor center August 19th to get information,we walked in with bottle water and a bag of caramel corn (did not see the sign that stated no food or drink) or we would not have walked in. A male park employee working was very rude , told us to get our stuff and GET OUT! We apologized and left….welcome to Skagway! lol He must of been having a bad day,but no way to treat visitors.

Whatever you do when visiting Skagway. Do not and I repeat .. Do not use M&M Tours for any reason. They will sell you a tour at any cost just to get the sale. They lied to me and when I talk to the owner Mark Jennings, He was rude and belittled me. I even reached out the Visitation Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce and have yet to receive any satisfaction. When I speak to anyone I will advise them to stay away from this place.

We needed a very quick answer to find a store selling the specific item we needed before our tour left. They provided specific directions and we made it to our tour assembly area with time to spare. It does not get better than this. Well done.

Beautiful, unique building, completely covered with driftwood: about 9.000 pieces. Visitor's information center with helpful people, clean restrooms, free maps, brochures, etc.

The staff is super helpful and enthusiastic. There were also free prints from a local craft event when I went as well as maps and tour guides for the area.
