My wife and I took the downtown walking tour with John Bruce as our guide on 9/12/2024. He was outstanding - personable, and full of informative, entertaining information about the history and development of Sitka and about what it's like to live in Sitka today. He was happy to make some adjustments to accommodate my wife's mobility issues without compromising the content of the tour. John Bruce's tour made Sitka our favorite port stop/excursion on our Southeast Alaska cruise! I would hope to return to Sitka and have the opportunity to do a more extensive hike with John Bruce on some of the mountain trails above the town.

Had a great experience with Reid as our guide for this walking tour. He really brought the Indigenous, Russian and contemporary history of Sitka to life for me, not to mentioned had great recs on the best place to grab a bite or a drink. Great introduction to this town. Highly recommend!

Nice place to walk around and see "the city" it was too crowded for my liking. There are plenty of stores, but all were too crowded. I didn't want to step in. People seem very nice, and there are a few beautiful places to watch.
