A great hotel with a super location, next to U village. Parking on surface lot is reasonably priced and breakfast included. Quiet and clean and nice. 20 min walk to north UW campus and husky arena. Will definitely stay again. And they let us check in early!!!

We needed a Suite as we had three adults. It allowed privacy having a door between the two rooms. The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. Clean, excellent Staff and Front Desk Service. Ambience of dining room and Front Lounge area to relax. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. The hotel offers a Hospital discount which we greatly appreciated. It was an emotional time for us - but the comforts of the hotel when we came in to rest, and dine were comforting. There are also excellent dining choices close by in The University Village if you are dining out a few times. The location was safe and secure for parking your vehicle. Connor will take good care of you as a Hotel Manager

First time we had stayed at a Silver Cloud as they appear to be a west coast company. Our stay was outstanding! Plenty of parking and a very helpful staff. Breakfast provided with your stay had everything you could want and also a bar on site. Short walk to University Village as well. Would highly recommend if planning a trip to UWash or if you are planning on sightseeing in the Waterfront area and don't want to pay for a hotel there. About 20 min drive to Pike Place market/Space Needle.

I stayed for two weeks and enjoyed it. The hotel is excellent, I was able to get good sleep, the room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Everything worked as expected. The location is great for UW visitors, proximity of the University Village is also a big plus. I will definitely choose this hotel when I come back to UW for work.

Silver Cloud Hotels are always a safe bet for a good night’s sleep and a quality stay. This was the first time we stayed in the University District location and it was up to the Silver Cloud standards. Clean, comfortable, friendly, good amenities. Very close to UW and University Village Shopping and Medical services. All hotel prices seem astronomical, but this is good value for the dollar. Also, we were able to get right in as we were walk-ins for a last minute trip.

Uneventful and that means for me it was a perfect stay. No complaints at all, the room was stocked well with toiletries and towels and any interaction with service personnel was nice too. I even used the fitness room which was well ventilated.

I’m a frequent guest at Silvercloud hotels in Seattle, usually staying at the Broadway location, which has always provided excellent service. Unfortunately, my recent stay at the University District location was a huge disappointment.

I chose this location due to a medical issue and requested a quiet room, as I was preparing for a law school final the next day. Upon arrival, the room was under construction, with loud machinery and strong chemical fumes from carpet cleaning that made the air difficult to breathe. Despite my health concerns and explaining that I needed a quiet space, I was moved to another room. However, the noise and fumes only worsened, and I began to feel my throat closing up and my face becoming flushed. The air was thick and unbearable.

When I raised the issue with staff, the response was unhelpful and rude. They struggled to locate my reservation, and I was told I would still be charged for multiple nights, even though I had stayed in two rooms for less than an hour. After lengthy back-and-forth (worth noting: I am rarely "that person"), I was refunded for the first night, but the entire process was stressful and poorly handled. One staff member even made sarcastic remarks. This lack of professionalism was especially frustrating given the health risks I faced due to the fumes, which the staff explained were necessary for a deep cleaning after particles had fallen from a recent roof repair. These particles, combined with the already filthy, soaking wet carpets, contributed to the overpowering smells being blown into our rooms.

While I’ve always had great experiences at the Broadway location, I won’t be staying at University District again. The combination of rude staff, health risks from the strong fumes, and the overall lack of care for guest needs made this an experience I’d rather forget.

Update after business response—the location offered me a voucher to stay again. They missed the mark with this offer. Since my concerns surround hotel cleanliness, and healthy and safety protocols, I don’t feel comfortable staying there. I mentioned that I would however take a voucher for other Silvercloud locations since I have not had this experience at any of their other locations. Note: I have stayed on Broadway at least 23 nights, Lake Union 2 nights, stadium 1 night. They could not offer that though. So for all of this, changing rooms, changing hotels, me having to throw away the food I ordered because of the fumes, etc., they did absolutely nothing…besides telling me I won’t be charged and my reward points will be placed back into my account, acting as though this was a great service to me. I wasn’t charged because I had to leave. I received my rewards because I didn’t use them at their location. Please do not treat your inaction as some reward I should be thankful for. Don’t fumigate your guests. Address communication issues with staff. If you repair the roof and there are particles coming down requiring a “deep clean” of the carpets, as your employee stated to me, do it on floor that are not being used. Those machines push out that hot air produced by those sopping wet rugs that have visible soap swirls. This is NOT healthy to breathe in. If you are a guest who has concerns about healthy and safety, allergens, or COVID…DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION.
