Only place in town that answered the phone at midnight and gave us a room for the night (after an unexpected change of plans). Considering the situation, we expected a higher price but it was very reasonable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was big and well furnished. We had a microwave, a fridge, a table to sit at, even an electric fireplace. Everything in the room worked and looked maintained. Bed was a nice firm and comfortable foam mattress. Very cute colorful bedsheets!

We don't have no complaints.. during the day we went to explore the rivers and came back to the motel... they have grills and tables. So we used them.. safe place. Kids liked it..and not to expensive for the 3 days we stayed here... will recommend this place. It's an old style..motel.. but that didn't bother us...

We took a one day rafting trip on the Kern. We needed 3 rooms and when I called around to all the motels in the Kern River area (Kernville, Wofford Heights etc.) the Sierra Vista Motel was the only one to have 3 rooms available that I found. It also was the cheapest. Hmmm... did it have rooms available and was it the cheapest because it was a dump and no one wanted to stay there? The other motels were all $100 a night or more. This place was $65.00. I had no other choice but to book it.||||Turns out we picked a great place. Sure it's not fancy like a Hilton -NONE of the places in the area are - but it was clean, it didnt stink, the beds were comfortable AND it was cheap! That's a winner in my book!||||There is no pool, no fitness center - this is a place to sleep and change clothes before your next adventure in the Kern River area.||||Again, if your expecting a fancy, dancy hotel experience here - forget it. It's "rustic" looking, the rooms are sorta small, the towels aren't very thick, there are only 2 pillows on the bed - (my wife and I always pack our own pillows anyway) but the AC worked, hot shower, TV worked and it had a small refigerator. Did I mention it didnt smell and it was clean?||||It just so happened our rafting company was across the street so we could walk to it AND right next door to the motel is the "Chatterbox cafe." good food, goood price.||||You don't travel to this area to stay in your motel room anyway. It's very good for what you pay and what you need.

It's a motel folks. It's run down but it has the basic and that's all you need. Make the most of your outdoor experience. The price is more than fair, especially on a holiday weekend. All the campsite are booked and set came in last minute. Grateful and plan on having a great time away from the motel. The hotel manager is great. Look at the pictures it's what your going to get. Nothing fancy here. It gets the job done and we don't have to set up our camping tent and the likes. I'm good.

We've stayed here a few times and are going back again in June. This is an older motel but we like it. There is nothing special about the place other than the price for being a nice clean place to shower and crash for the night. The location is pretty good as well. Again for the price we feel this is the best place around lake Isabella to stay. That's why I put the quality at "very good" because of what you get for the money.

or my activities. It was quiet, though they were quite booked. Everyone was private but friendly. Office also kept to themself but was always willing to be right there everytime I did need something. It was perfect if your looking for a comfortable motel where u can come and go as if it were your own home. Never had the feeling they were monitoring my room, my guests or anything else that also of motels in the city seem to do. Price was ok, room cleanliness ways ok but overall atmosphere and experience made me a returning guest! I've been there 3 times now and will visit again

The gentleman that works there is awesome name starts with a S … at a loss right now… but it’s his parents property turned motel that he took over over time… nice clean motel AC is awesome … shower pressure is great…. Most importantly nice and quiet! Most definitely staying here again one my next trip to Kernville…. NO QUESTION !

I found this place while looking for the cheapest possible place to stay for an overnight trip into Kernville to do some mountain biking. It was technically in Wofford Heights which was 3-4 miles outside of downtown Kernville but that was no issue at all. The motel itself had essentially no amenities but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. A long as you're okay with no pool, no jacuzzi, no nothing...I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.
