Angel and I checked out Short Story Morgantown and The Burger Place on a Wednesday night on a whim. We both had a build your own burger and a Fun With Prisms CPR.

Our beers were very good. The burgers were excellent. The blend they use in their burgers is definitely unlike anything else you'll find in Morgantown on a regular basis. I'd say it's one of the top 3 burgers in town.

I personally liked the smaller size as it's made for a nice, relaxing, low-key setting after a long day at work. I can't wait to visit again soon.

Beers with a distinctive point of view that are memorable. Friendly, helpful staff. And, the patty melt and waffle fries were super tasty. Couple all that with a great view of the river and WVU campus, and these folks have really got something going on.

Great atmosphere with books and games available to the public as well as an upstairs area, Riverside seating, with a dog friendly atmosphere outside. The beer is fairly priced , but the cocktails appear to be a bit more on the expensive side. staff was extremely friendly to our 2-year-old daughter. The burgers are absolutely amazing a bit more pricey than you would expect but delicious nonetheless.

So excited to FINALLY have a Short Story location here in Morgantown! I’m so happy they were able to land this spot too - this riverside brewpub is a vibe!! Incredible beer, with an incredible view of the Mon. And if you’re not a beer drinker, they have wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. The food is great too! Lefty’s knocked it out of the park with the burgers - tasted amazing, and the pricing is fair for the portions and quality (Village Butcher meat for the win). So glad I was able to check this place out during the soft opening because I’m sure this place is going to become a town favorite in the coming weeks. Congrats on the new location, Short Story!

I was thrilled when Short Story opened up a location in Morgantown, and even more thrilled when I learned that The Burger Place was going to be a part of the location. Short Story's beers are always fabulous, and the accessibility of this location is such a treat. This is such a beautiful space with a great outdoor area that I can't wait to take advantage of in the spring. When my husband and I went yesterday, we ordered a BYOB with waffle fries and the Roundup Burger with onion rings and they were the best burgers I've had in a very long time. I also appreciate that there's a kid's menu and in the future we are planning to bring in our toddler for a weekday lunch.

The view of the Mon river with an inside/outside view is really nice.
Other than that it seemed like a bar.
U have to get up and go to bar to order. You have to get back up and grab your drinks when finally ready.
I haven't received my burger yet, but was not allowed to add anything to my burger. (I asked for an egg on top, which is on their menu)
View is great though!

Was so excited when they announced this new Morgantown location, as this is the best brewery in northern WV. Went on their second day open and was not disappointed! Fast, fantastic service. Awesome, clean and modern location, with outdoor area overlooking river. Food was great, had a fantastic patty melt. And, of course, the beer was fantastic as always. Had a couple of West Coasts on tap that I hadn’t tried yet and they were awesome. Will be back again soon! (This weekend)
