I love this place. I always order their signature Fish Rice Noodle Soup. It has fish, clams, tofu, fish balls, and vegetables in there. The broth has a umami that's really tasty. Best for cold weather days. They have a lot of options on their menu to choose from even if you're not a fish rice noodle person. The restaurant is clean and bright. Highly recommended if you're looking for a Chinese food place in Lake Forest area.

Craving authentic home style dishes in the OC?

Let’s take a journey back to those unforgettable flavors of our childhood. There’s nothing quite like the comfort of home cooking, just like mom would make, right? From the steaming bowls of their soups to the fragrant stir-fries and fried rice, every dish we tried was delicious!! The comforting taste of home with every bite!! It’s definitely a diamond in the rough and worth every penny!

The owner, Frank and the staff were so very friendly!! If you’re on the hunt for a restaurant that’s perfect for the whole family, look no further! Get ready to experience the warmth and welcoming atmosphere of this family-friendly gem!

What we tried:
* Braised Beef Ox-tail Noodle Soup (pure comfort food that reminds me of childhood dinners except ours was served with rice)
* House Special Fish Soup (the broth is smooth and soothing.) A lot of love went into this soup. The whole shrimp gives it a lot of flavor)
* Special Big Pork Bones (reminds me of a dish my mom made throughout the years.) Gloves are given to help hold the bone. The meat is fall off the bone tender. Pour the sauce over rice - soooo good!!
* Spicy Fried Pork Belly (a bit spicy but very flavorful)
* Sour Bean Pork Fried Rice (addictive and so delicious)

EVERY dish was 🔥🔥🔥 So delicious and scrumptious!! They have been crafted with love, passion and patience, resulting in an explosion of flavors! Layers of aromatic spices, marinaded meats cooked to perfection and soups simmering for hours…these dishes are a testament to every ingredient carefully chosen and how they’ve developed a rich flavor. It will definitely leave you wanting more!!

Let your taste buds embark on a journey of extraordinary taste and heartwarming dishes that will quickly become your favorites!!

So gather your friends and family, come hungry and make lasting memories!! Enjoy!!

Seems like a mom and pop type of noodle restaurant that specializes in fish broth. The service was slow considering they only had 1 student looking server. The food came out in random order. I don’t recommend the chicken kaarage, the chicken tasted a little off and I was nervous it wasn’t fully cooked. The noodle soups and fried rice was pretty decent. It was good to try something new but we probably won’t be coming back.

Uni fried rice was unique. I have never had any fried rice like it before. The fish rice noodle soup was rich, thick, and had depth. It almost tasted like beef bone or chicken bone soup, but much healthier. I'm coming back here again to try some other stuff, too. I also took home the salivating chicken, which was spicy and delicious. The server was terrific! He worked alone, but he was attentive enough and generous.

TL; DR: great food and environment. Definite stop by if you want to taste authentic Chinese rice noodle.

The fish soup was on-point. Maybe a little blend for some people, but just a hint of salt is all that’s needed to enhance the flavor. Beef brisket was great with the tomato soup. If you are a fan of tomato based hot-pot, definitely try it out. Beef tongue tasted like how it should, and the fried calamari was pretty flavorful.

I recently visited Sheung Shui Fish and Rice Noodle in Lake Forest, and it was a disappointing experience.

First, the service was almost nonexistent. The staff barely interacted with customers, but there’s still an expectation for generous tipping, which felt unreasonable given the lack of attention.

The soup tasted strange, almost like it was made with spoiled fish, making it hard to enjoy. I’ve had similar dishes elsewhere, but this one missed the mark completely.

Additionally, I ordered the double beef option but received what seemed like a single portion. Despite paying extra, the serving didn’t match what I expected.

Overall, poor service, odd-tasting food, and underwhelming portions make this a place I wouldn't recommend.

So I don't like fish soup but this place makes really good fish soup. The broth is hearty and good and not fishy at all.

They don't use msg or anything of the sort. Def. Became one of my togo places.

First time here, didn't expect much as I personally don't like fishy soup, but this definitely WOW me! I had Seafood Chowder (chef special), it's really really good! Two thumbs up. The ambience is great too and the mellow jazz music 👌 Glad we found this place and will definitely come back to try other dishes.
