The portions are huge here and the taste of the food is pretty good. The biscuits and gravy needed salt and pepper. Biscuits are huge but pretty dry for my southern taste. The diced potatoes were so close to being delicious but they were seasoned with dill weed which was a bit odd and if some onion was added they would’ve great. My husband’s corned beef hash was definitely the best dish. The atmosphere is messy and cluttered like you’d expect at a hole in the wall mom and pop diner. The owner and other waitstaff were wonderful and kind.

First time dining at Shelly’s this morning and it won’t be my last. I appreciate them being open on the holiday (new years day). Delicious and savory breakfast. Tasty Bloody Mary for only $7. Most impressed with the attentive and proactive staff.

Food was amazing and you get a bang for your buck! Husband ordered the bananas foster French toast and he said it tasted like banana cream pie - yum! It also came with bacon and eggs! Amazing value! I ordered the bacon and eggs breakfast and it came with a generous portion of hash browns and an English muffin with homemade raspberry jam. It was so good!

We love coming here for random breakfast or brunch. There's usually just one server, so patience is key. Generous portions and we usually go home with a to go box of food. The quality has always been perfect for us. The hashbrowns are perfectly crispy, the eggs aren't over cooked, the bacon is perfectly crispy, too.
For two adult breakfasts and one kid, I spent $65, including a tip. So not cheap but not expensive considering their generous portion sizes and consistent good food!
It's a little run-down looking and definitely needs a fresh coat of paint and updated everything. But that doesn't take away from the yummy food here!

Just landed in Seattle after a long flight and was looking for some breakfast. One of the first locations that popped up with breakfast and a bar was Shelly's Breakfast & Lunch. We parked with ease and order a couple drinks, Salmon Benedict, and the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. Both meals were pretty average and a bit pricey but everyone who served us was really nice.

The hostess was short with us but the waitress was mostly friendly.
The food and atmosphere however were awful.
The whole place was grimmy, dingy, and sticky. The glasses and flatware had a film on them.
The burger was bland, the pancakes were starchy, the scrambled eggs were rubbery, the chicken fried steak was soggy, the fresh fruit was slimy, and the macaroni was a grainy cheese soup with soggy noodles.
No one could eat more than a few bites and we had to get out of there.

A neighbourhood diner-style restaurant in Burien, a few minutes away from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Came here on a weekday morning for dinner breakfast and there was no wait to be seated. Good variety of food items on the menu and prices are pretty reasonable. Service was attentive. Lots of seating inside and free parking outside (shared with other businesses).

I don't even know where to start. The staff was pleasant when we came in expecting high outcomes due to the reviews which were a 4.9 at the time (lies). We were not only seated in the very back of the diner but there was a ton of storage located right behind us giving us a very grimy feel. The table was sticky. When we got to the food, I ordered a smoked salmon eggs Benedict combination which I had countless time before at other places. It was the most disappointing eggs Benedict of my life. The sauce was clumpy and mayo like. The salmon was tasteless and somehow over cooked. My husband had ordered the country fried steak which had way too much gravy. We didn't even finish our dishes due to the fact that it was terrible. The pricing on my eggs benedict was $20 which till this day, think its ridiculous due to the quality of the food.
