We are repeat customers for a reason. We love our stay here. The host are super and always welcoming. The breakfast is always great with fresh ingredients and homemade jellies. They are close to restaurants and the Barter theater where we always book a show. Their accommodations are clean and the home is lovely. We will come back again and recommend this b&b.

We only stayed one night but Joan was very accommodating. You can tell this was a fine Victorian home, full of wonderful antiques. But the best part was definitely the Breakfast! It was absolutely delicious and Joan is a wonderful hostess. Definitely 5 🌟

Joan greeted us at the door before we could knock. We appreciated how she asked us about what time we wanted breakfast and any food preferences. Breakfast was lovely, served on beautiful china with a cloth napkin in a napkin ring. She’s a great cook, who shops at the local farmers market and makes her own breads. We thought the bed was the most comfortable of our vacation. The furnishings are from Mike’s family. iWe came to Abington to bicycle the Virginia Creeper Trail. This B&B was close enough to bike to the shuttle. Joan was so much fun to talk with and she recommended places to eat and things to see and do.

We booked 4 of the 5 rooms last minute on the top floor when we were in town for an unplanned family event. The owner was easy to work with for booking. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfast was tasty and filling. We were allowed a late checkout last minute which was very accommodating. The house is an old Victorian style home with lots of character. As an older home, you can expect creaking floors, older plumbing, and decorations that fit the character of the home. If that appeals to you, you will enjoy your stay. We very much did and would stay here again if we were traveling through.

Shavers B&B in Abingdon is phenomenal. Joan and Mike are wonderful. They were very accommodating to both my wife and I. ||||Joan's breakfast is the stuff of legends. We had a fruit tray, sausage, bacon, scones, toast eggs and homemade waffles. We were offered both coffee and juice. Our whole stay (2 nights) refershements were kept stocked beside our rooms. Coffee was offered early in the morning and then offered again with breakfast.||||The rooms are breathtaking to say the least. The have modern comfrot yet hint at the antiquity that is found all over the chraming town of Abingdon.||||I would highly recommend anyone to stay at shavers.

The Shavers of Abingdon Bed & Breakfast is simply fantastic. The owners Joan and Mike make your stay a memorable event. ||||We decided to do the Thanksgiving stay again which we had done back in 2009. ||||Joan's breakfast is legendary and her Thanksgiving dinner is superb. ||For breakfast we had fresh fruit, sausage, bacon, scones, and eggs. There was fresh coffee and juice. Thanksgiving Dinner included fresh basted roast turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, green beans, blackened brussels sprouts and fresh baked dinner rolls. It was fit for a Queen and King!||||Our 2 night stay not only included the meals but fresh coffee early in the morning outside the room and again with breakfast.||||The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed with WiFi.||||We will be back and highly recommend anyone to stay at the Shavers of Abingdon!

Joan made an absolute wonderful, homemade breakfast! And we slept so comfy.... beautiful home and we will be back! Doing the Creeper Trail is something we love doing often , and finding a place to stay over and over again makes it all just that much nicer. We will return soon 👍

What a nice place to lay your head after a long day on the Creeper Trail. The home is full of antiques and long forgotten items from the past. The hosts were very accommodating and what a great cook. Fresh eggs and sausage from the morning farmers market and homemade bread made fabulous french toast. Just can't say enough about this beautiful setting.
