We stayed 3 nights here while we visited Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and did some chores while traveling the southwest. The staff here are friendly and professional. The park is quiet. The short term travelers are usually placed in the first three rows. The remainder of the park seem like long term space rentals and mobile homes. The restrooms and showers were clean and stocked. There are two laundry buildings and the machines looked well maintained. There is a large club house which can accommodate a few family dinners. It has a BBQ and propane grill in the back yard, full kitchen, TV room, game room, library, etc. This building was also clean and maintained. Behind the Club house is a sweet little nature trail which is a nice walk to stretch your legs. You can walk to a couple markets, restaurants, and coffee houses from here. The wi-fi was average, good signal strength but slow speed due to numbers of users.

Located within easy walking distance of the central area of Ajo, this park is clean and quiet. Showers and laundry facilities are clean. The park has easy access whether you are travelling east of west. tts 'cozy'...not a lot of room to spread out but certainly enough room to be comfortable. Park accepts both short and long term stay customers. The first outstanding part of this park experience is when you check in... the lady in the office is exceptional and very knowledgable and wants to help in any way she can. We would stay here again .... for sure.

Arrived at shawdowridge in the middle of a hot day, we were greeted by Sandi at the office and immediately liked her. Sandi was so helpful and informative we knew we came to the right place. We were only staying a week so registration was easy. The site is large enough, even for those folks with a very large rv. The roadways and sites are gravel and you have a concrete pad to set up camp. The flowering shrubs are a real bonus for beauty, shade, and attracting birds. The laundry room was clean, had a ironing board and the rates are reasonable. I did not use the showers so I can not comment. There is no pool or hot tub on the property and we didn`t miss it,instead we had wifi and cable TV. This RV resort is almost in the centre of town so getting around is super easy. The town of Ajo has many outdoor activities scheduled at the plaza so you have a good chance in seeing one of them. We especially enjoyed watching the Mexican children dance in the park. Shadow ridge RV Resort is outstanding, after a few days we met the owner Amy ands she is just as warm and friendly as Sandi, what a great team and their hard work shows everywhere in the park. We took in the St. Paddys Day Dinner at the club house it was awesome, Sandi and her hubby Jim cooked all day and the guests brought dessert. The laughter and joy filled the room, even a red cardinal came by to see what was up : )

A no-frills RV park - exactly what the guests/residents want! The people/community are excellent, and the escape to nature is the main draw. The residents are mostly retired so the park is quiet at night and feels safe 24/7.

From the looks of things.....πŸ‘Only stopped in for a badly needed shower. (Disperse camping) Can't beat the 3$ price tag for the shower. But, if I had a big RV rig, I would stay here. Appears to be cozy and comfy.

We were on our way to Organ Pipe National Monument and needed a one-night stopover. We found this delightful little campground in Ajo: inexpensive, friendly staff and residents, close to a nature trail. ||||But perhaps my favorite part was the bathroom! It is tiled inside, with some of the best designed shower stalls I have seen (while I haven't spent years on the road, we have seen our share of bad showers during camping and long road trips). ||||Everything was very clean and well kept up.||||With our Passport America discount it was a tremendous deal. We want to find an excuse to return to Ajo to stay there again.

This is a wonderful little place to have a visit. The park is quiet and clean, with people who are friendly, yet also keep to themselves. Amy and Sandy are very nice hosts, and happy to answer any questions about town and the surrounding areas. Amy kindly extended my stay from a few days to a wekk. This park is pretty much in the center of the way into town, and there's a sidewalk all the way, which makes the mile walk safe and convenient. The Plaza is beautiful. If you enjoy people watching, this is a fun place to spend a relaxing afternoon. I would definitely redommend a visit to Ajo, and a stay at Shadow Ridge. This is a park I will happily return to.
