I recently stayed at Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach for our anniversary, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable stay.

The room itself was spacious and impeccably clean, offering a beautiful, private balcony with a cozy tub—perfect for unwinding while enjoying the stunning view. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, and the hotel is located in a quiet area of Redondo Beach, which made for a very relaxing retreat.

One of the highlights of the hotel is the sky deck, where you can take in even more amazing views. You can also take advantage of the bicycles available, which was a fun way to ride along the coast and explore the area.

The restaurant on-site is fantastic! There is a wide variety of food options, all delicious, and the drinks are top-notch. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or something a little more upscale, you'll find something to suit your taste.

Overall, Shade Hotel provided everything we were hoping for and more. The combination of great service, beautiful rooms, and top-tier amenities made for an unforgettable anniversary getaway. Highly recommend!

A great stay, from start to finish. Staff was very welcoming and helpful . Room looked out over King Harbor and the walkway along the harbor.||Accommodations were comfortable and up to date. Best roll-in shower I’ve seen (I use a wheelchair and spend 30+ nights in hotels every year). ||Room service meals were delicious and very prompt (around 20 minutes for the two meals we ordered). ||Well worth the price. Highly recommended!!

Daniel and Abby helped me book a set of rooms for myself and my team for my company retreat. They were super friendly and very accommodating! Even when we had a date change, it was super easy to do. The rooms were beautiful. The views were incredible. We had the Rose Penthouse and it did not disappoint. It was so spacious! I wish i could have stayed there for 3 more days! All the staff was attentive and so nice. We can’t wait to go back!

If you don’t want sleep, this is the place to go. Between the wedding music blaring until 10:30pm (I realize this is not that late, but we just flew in and on east coast time)!, to the room above us waking me up at 3:30am with their tv on and walking around, this is the worse night of sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel in my life.|The front desk is nice, they brought us earplugs during the wedding, and said they would check on the noise at 3:30am.|But it doesn’t change the fact that I’m getting zero sleep.||If you’re looking for a fun party atmosphere where you don’t have to be quiet, this is your place! |If you want a more quiet environment, pick somewhere else.

The room was clean, and spacious. I love the tub on the balcony! However, I could hear every foot step from those moving around in the room above us. Imagine being awakened by constant movement @4:30am. It was extremely annoying, especially considering the price per night. We decided to check out early for this reason.

Additionally, skip the food at the restaurant for dinner time, it was a joke..I did enjoy the sandwiches during lunch (spicy fried chicken & the pastrami). I’m sure there are better options near by.

“Mixed Experience at Shades Hotel”

I recently stayed at Shades Hotel and had a few highlights but also some disappointments. The restaurant was excellent, with great food and a nice atmosphere. I especially loved the complimentary bikes—they were a fantastic addition and made exploring the area enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the noise during our stay really affected the experience. It sounded like maintenance or cleaning was happening above our room throughout the day, which made it difficult to relax. Given that we paid holiday pricing, I didn’t feel the value matched the cost of the stay.

While there were some enjoyable moments, I ultimately left feeling like I didn’t get the experience I expected for the price.

This version is concise and balanced, highlighting both the positives and the areas for improvement. Let me know if you’d like to tweak it further!

The girls at the front desk were kind and friendly and helpful. The mattress is amazing! Slept soooo good. The soaking tub on the balcony is the most wonderful and relaxing amenity! Being able to lay there and look out at the marina was so peaceful! Only problem, and it’s not really an everyday problem, is the restaurant/bar closed early but…it was the night before Thanksgiving so I’m giving it a pass. I only stayed one night but I will definitely be staying there again next time I go to Redondo!

Great staff, especially Christian. He went out of his way to make the stay very enjoyable. He was very helpful, bringing my friend an ice bag when she shared that she had a broken foot. She hadn't even asked for it, but he brought it to her after she had told him that.
