5-Star Review for this place!

Our stay here last summer was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the serene beauty of the surroundings and the lodge’s warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, nestled in one of the most stunning locations we’ve ever visited.

A special shoutout to Katie, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Her hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly set the experience apart. Katie made us feel like family, offering personalized recommendations, ensuring every need was met, and even sharing some great local insights that added so much to our trip. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does, and her passion shines through in every interaction.

The lodge itself is impeccably maintained, with cozy, well-appointed rooms and breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet moment by the fire or stepping outside to explore the trails, this place feels like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Thank you, Katie, and the entire Seward Windsong Lodge team, for creating such a remarkable experience. We can’t wait to come back and recommend this gem to everyone we know!

Friendly check in and given room 411 in Monkshood on the second floor. Lovely big room with two queen beds, small dining table, fridge. Small bathroom with shower over the bath. Heating was easy and worked. Plenty of plug sockets; WiFi ok, not great. Lovely private balcony at the back overlooking the woods, which was covered so stayed dry.

The shuttle from the lodge drops off / picks up at 3 different spots in Seward. Mike, Kathleen and Martha were the drivers and were all wonderful.

There was couple good places on site for eat and drink : Ressurection Roadhouse, Puffin Dive and the breakfast buffet. The buffet was around $25 and had amazing seasoned potatoes.

My wife really enjoyed her Exit Glacier mojito and I loved my old fashioned and smoke and cherries drinks.

Grounds were nice but do remember the rooms being a little too warm when we first got there. This overall was one of the better places we stayed at for our interior Alaska trip. I would stay here again.

Positive: Nice outdoorsy feel. Liked that transportation and shuttles were available and the knowledge of the drivers to give us some history and tips. Negative: The restaurant was below par for selection, preparation and taste. We we're not impressed! We never ate there again over the 4 days we were there and did not recommend it.

Attractive place about ten minutes from downtown Seward. The rooms are in small buildings around the property. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is really good. If you have time, you can go for a short walk nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed a few nights and it was great. The rooms were clean and spacious. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Not very far from downtown Seward. Staying here really felt secluded and as if you were in the wilderness. Having the back porch was a huge plus. Would stay again!

Booking a night here as part of a package with a tour cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park was a great value (and the tours into Kenai Fjords are awesome.)||||Rooms were clean and relatively spacious, back deck was nice.||||Only downside is that the back door of the room had some kind of coating on it that almost completely blocks all Wi-Fi and cell signals. There was an access point just a few feet outside of our room, which had a great signal as soon as the door was open or if you were in the back porch, but the door blocked being able to connect at all from inside the room when it was closed. Which is really weird for a glass door. Either the coating needs to be removed from the doors or access points need to be placed in the rooms. Making plans is difficult without Internet or phone service, plus this prevented us from being able to use apps that would wake us up when the aurora was visible, which was unfortunate on a night with a Kp index of 7.||||While the property is not inside Seward itself, it's a very quick drive back and forth to downtown Seward, only about 3-5 minutes.

The rustic style rooms are neat, clean, and well maintained. A bit outside Seward, but there is a regular shuttle bus with very friendly drivers.
The staff offered to wake us if the aurora was visible. Best 4am wake up call we've ever had!
