We recently attended a wedding in the Hood River area and needed 5 bedrooms for the entire family. What luck that a friend recommended Seven Oaks Bed and Breakfast! This charming & immaculate home is tucked away on a private 3 acres. We did not spend much time in the house due to the wedding, but Linda & Joe instantly made us welcome and allowed us to come a bit early to change into our dress clothes. The next morning there was coffee at the ready and an amazing breakfast that was beautifully presented. We loved our too short of time here and can see coming back for a more leisurely stay to enjoy this wonderful community and delightful Inn. Thank you for your hospitality!

Seven Oaks Bed & Breakfast was a true gem in Hood River. Tucked away a bit outside of town, it is a gorgeous property, impeccably maintained and retaining all of its original charm. Linda and Joe were fabulous hosts - and terrific cooks. They had no problem accommodating a gluten free diet - and my breakfast was every bit as good as everyone else's (no small feat)! It took a day or so for the true star of the property to emerge, but once the haze cleared and Mt Hood appeared, it was a stunning view from the porch swing - I could have sat there enjoying the swing, the garden, the local kitty, and the view of Mt. Hood all afternoon. Linda and Joe had great suggestions for us for hikes, wineries, and other things to see and do in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights there and our time exploring the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood - both easily accessible from Seven Oaks. We stayed in the cottage - a delightfully cozy little house next to the garden. We loved having our own space while still enjoying the camaraderie at the house and the sumptuous breakfasts.

We (couple and adult son) just had an ideal visit to Hood River (except for it being too short), and most of the credit must go to the ambience and amenities of Seven Oaks, and the delightful hosting and the perfect recommendations of the owners. Joe and Linda together provide a fabulous feast for breakfast, and their advice made our dinner, fruit shopping, and cycling activities all exceed our already high expectations! The accommodations (we were in the 2 upstairs rooms, Southern Live Oak and English Golden Oak) are low-ceilinged in places as might be expected from the lovely home's provenance, but we had no head bumps (our son is 6'3"). The beds were super comfortable, and all the amenities and furnishings we needed were there, including extra towels (and the bath linens were exceptional). The view from the front porch of Mt. Hood alone could be a reason to stay an extra night! The grounds are lovely, the outdoor cats friendly but not overbearing, and there are special extra touches everywhere that bespeak of hosts that are not just good, but great at what they do, and that take pride in the experience they provide to their guests. We would choose to stay again in a heartbeat; no rating could be high enough for us to adequately characterize our stay. Book and enjoy!!!

Seven Oaks Bed and Breakfast is our definition of what a bed and breakfast should be! They have so much love and passion for being B&B owners and it shows! Linda and Joe made us feel so welcome and at home while staying in their home for two nights. We are both vegetarians so having breakfasts that were vegetarian from eggs collected from their own chickens was unreal! We sat and talked with them for several hours for breakfast prior to heading out for the day to explore the Mt Hood area! Linda and Joe gave wonderful recommendations depending on what you were looking for in the area. Seeing Mt. Hood from their front porch and also in the morning for sunrise was breathtaking! We stayed in the cottage and it was perfect. Besides Crater Lake and Cannon Beach we have been telling anyone that wants to go to Oregon to go to Hood River and stay here, it was a highlight of our trip! We have friends that actually staying with Linda and Joe late this summer/fall! Wish we were returning with them for a visit!

My wife and I stayed here at the beginning of August as the first stop on a tour of Oregon. This lovely house has two rooms upstairs and one bathroom, there is a separate cottage on the grounds and is about 3 miles outside the business district and shops of Hood River. We are from the east coast so we get up early when we first arrive on the west coast. My wife enjoyed the sun beginning to light up Mount Hood to the south from the front porch while enjoying here coffee. A short distance away is the Western Antique Airplane and Automobile Museum which has a large selection of both airplanes and automobile and is worth the visit. The wonderful breakfasts include egg dishes from there own hens. Both Linda and Joe are artists, Linda does quilt art as can be seen in the dining room where breakfast is served, and Joe does amazing work in wood including a sea kayak and a small travel trailer he was working on while we were there. The cats are outdoor cats and pickles is very friendly landing on my lap the few times I sat out on the porch. The house and property are shielded by trees and the barn where Linda and Joe practice their artistry. The grounds are lovely to both stroll around or sit on the porch a view Mount Hood. Definitely a peaceful quiet place to spend a few nights.

So many folks have written all of this before so consider this an update. Linda and Joe are still phenomenal hosts. They are fascinating people with whom we loved spending the mornings. They are just so wonderful. While you talk about everything you are treated to amazing breakfast delights that will keep you full all day! The house is gorgeous. The porch is perfect. The bed was as comfortable as could be. I awakened to the sight of Mt. Hood highlighted in brilliant early morning sunshine right through the window! Don’t fret the industrial stuff as you get close. The driveway is a magical path transporting you to a wonderful place. We were sad to leave.

From the stunning view of Mt Hood , all mod cons, with a proper garden, a verandah and classic 2 person swing seat, and art to admire, gracious hosting, home cooked breakfast burritos followed by pumpkin and blueberry scones: we were looked after. They made a wonderful recommendation to visit the Marchesi winery near by which did not disappoint. They had just won a gold medal for their latest red tasting of anniseed. Enroute they are 5 mins drive from the fabulous airplane, car, and all things vintage WAAAM museum. This would be a great stay for any pilot or wine lover.

Prepare to be transported to a fairytale or an old, cozy movie. The house possesses an enchanting charm, almost a a personality that comes alive, and feels like home. The hosts of this Bed and Breakfast treat you like a long-lost family, with extra care and warmth. ||Mornings smell of spring flowers, coffee and breakfast, carefully catered to your dietary needs. It is an excellent place to unwind, whether you stay there just for the night, or have time to relax on the porch with a good book. Amenities are great, but atmosphere beats everything.||As a side note, our friend Alex introduced us to this charming place and in addition, together with hosts, provided us with sheer interteinment during evenings, playing snooker and showing some class.:)
