Employees explained very nicely about the menu and sauces. Working fast and make the corn dog tasty! I got one to go and ate it at home but it was still crispy!

**TL;DR:** Seoul Hotdog serves up an authentic taste of Korean street food with its Korean-style hot dogs and corn dogs. The potato hot dog was crispy and delicious, and the staff was polite and efficient. Expect a wait during busy times, but it’s well worth it for a unique and tasty snack.

**Full Review:**

Seoul Hotdog is a delightful spot that brings the flavors of Korean street food right to our doorstep. This counter-serve eatery, with a few sidewalk tables, offers a nearly 1:1 experience of what you might find on the streets of Seoul, with a menu full of fun and inventive Korean-style hot dogs and corn dogs. If you’re someone who loves discovering unique takes on classic foods, or if you’re simply a fan of Korean cuisine, Seoul Hotdog deserves a spot on your list.

The ambiance here is straightforward but charming, a no-frills setup that lets the food take center stage. The staff was friendly and polite, and the service was impressively efficient. During quieter times, the wait was minimal, though it’s worth noting that it can get busy, so a bit of patience might be necessary if you visit during peak hours. But with food this good, a short wait feels more than justified.

Now, onto the main event: the Korean-style hot dogs. I always gravitate toward savory options, and the potato hot dog was my standout choice. It came with a perfectly crisped exterior, covered in tiny, golden potato cubes that added a delightful crunch to each bite. The interior was warm, soft, and satisfying—a perfect balance to the crunchier shell. Each bite delivered a burst of texture and flavor that made it hard to put down.

If you’re unfamiliar with Korean-style hot dogs, they’re often a bit more elaborate than the classic corn dog, with options that mix sweet and savory flavors, coatings of everything from sugar to ramen noodles, and even melted cheese for an added layer of indulgence. But for me, the potato hot dog’s simplicity and savory profile were a perfect choice, a reminder that you don’t need to go overboard to deliver bold, satisfying flavors.

Overall, Seoul Hotdog is a true find for anyone looking to taste authentic Korean street food or experience a creative twist on the classic corn dog. It’s affordable, fun, and an all-around delicious option for a snack or quick meal. I highly recommend it to anyone curious about the culinary delights of South Korea or just looking for a unique and tasty treat. Four out of five stars for Seoul Hotdog—a true taste of Seoul in a handheld, delicious package.

Food is delicious but the employees that was working that day were a little unorganized and got our order wrong. The restaurant is small so when it is busy there is really no place to wait. But the food we did get was good. We didn't have time to go back and get the right order, so maybe next time.

I ordered the number 1, spicy sausage with sweet potatoes added to the batter and the gochujang dipping sauce. It was tasty but not especially spicy. The space is small and only seats four inside although they do have a couple of tables outside. The staff was nice and the service was quick. I enjoyed their take on the classic corn dog and will be back to explore other options on the menu.

So this was an interesting experience! I am game for a good fried mozzarella stick and adding potatoes seemed like an awesome addition! Cheese and crispy outside were great and the potatoes added a nice texture.. as someone new to this food style, I would not have gotten the sugar coding… there was not enough set and salty to make the dish not overly sweet… would love to have seen the potatoes have a little salt on them to balance the flavors… definitely will try again especially with the corn dog and the Thai chili sauce they have. The fried rice cakes were a good neutral flavor dish.

One was slightly undercooked and doughy.
They also gave me a sweet sauce instead of the cheese sauce, (they looked exactly the same). And the girls in working were talking about VERY explicit things loudly while I was waiting. Made me pretty uncomfortable. Hopefully the kinks can be worked out cuz it’s a good idea for a shop.

This was the first spot I visited when I landed in Washington. The place is really cute and has outdoor seating for when the weather permits. There are so many options to choose from my favorite being the half mozzarella and half hot dog, I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
