This place is a one of a kind, just like the owner Scotty! my husband and boys loved the fish, and just requested the owner to surprise us with 2 different kinds. Both were the best fried fish we had ever had!!! I don’t even enjoy eating fish and couldn’t get enough of it! We got a fun history lesson about the region while we waited. The atmosphere is authentic and made our Sitka experience special. Its a cash only place so come prepared, you will thank me later!

Excellent fish on a stick! He had yellow eye rock fish when we were there and it was perfect.

The owner was full of information and the place is like a mini museum…albeit an uncurated one!

It’s cash only and bit pricey for what you get, but we were more than happy to support him.

Scotty the owner is awesome and tells stories and gives history on the area. Overall a great experience, the kids loved everything about it and so did we.

It is cash only so know that when heading over but more than worth the short walk.

Great place for a quick bite! The fish is above high quality and fresh!! We had ling cod, yellow eye, & halibut!! Scott is a really friendly and informative person about the area!

Best place for some Alaskan yelloweyed rockfish. It’s a hidden secret spot. Little bit of a walk from where they drop you off from the cruises. There is no menu, just a dude a shack and fish in a stick!!!!!

The location is not at downtown area but worth few more steps. I got fried yellow eye, OMG! Never had fish so tender and delicious… not much seasoning, but good enough to taste the fish original favor.

I wish Google had a six-star option, because Sea Daddy's would get it! Best fried fish—"Sitka-bobs"—the proprietor, Scotty, is calling them. Incredible battered yelloweye and halibut on a stick, delicious secret recipe tartar (even though the fish really doesn't need it), and the best atmosphere you'll find in Sitka, I guarantee. You'll have to walk off the beaten pathway, away from the hordes of cruise ship people, but what you'll find will not disappoint. Scotty even let us take his canoe for a spin on the bay while he cooked our fish (yes, he even has a few PFDs you can use as seat cushions.) Paddle out, get a family selfie, and let Scotty host your experience that you'll never forget. Bring cash and a sense of adventure... THIS is what experiencing Alaska is all about.

Sea Daddy is a awesome place to get fresh caught Halibut, cod or yellow eye fish. It's fried on a stick and comes with lemon slice and homemade sauce. The decor is great. Walk ten minutes away from all the tourists and enjoy. Really it is awesome
