Rooms nicer than expected. Obviously recently remodeled with nice wood look floors, clean bed covers. This is an old motel, appears that half the rooms are rented more often as weekly than nightly.

Very nice lady that works up front rooms are decent. Stayed two nights and was fairly quiet throughout my whole stay. Highly recommend this motel than a lot others on Sierra highway.

This place is actually pretty decent as far as the motels on Sierra Highway go... Ive had to be here for almost 2 weeks now, & its usually quiet & the rooms are overall in fair to good condition; there are no bugs of any kind here and the rooms are equipped w/flatscreens on the wall as well as a microwave & small fridge. There doesnt appear to be too much traffic or riff raff hanging around, however the rooms definitely need more secure features... such as windows with basic locks & a chain or similar type device on all of the doors, that would reinforce the guests safety. I also think think it can be improved upon with an ice machine, a vending machine, & regular housekeeping staff & service. There is only 1 rotating person for the hotel currently. They do not provide any services if/when a person extends their stay. Being responsible to maintain the cleanliness of ur own room isnt a huge issue, although having to carry out ur own trash, way out of the way, to a lone dumpster, in the back of the motel, is dsfinitely not something I enjoy doing. Especially when paying $65-$70 a night. For that price, they should better accommdate at least simple services for loyal customers who continue to support this facility. Allowing options for assisting in the removal of bags of trash, an occasional sweep & mop of the room, offering ice, snacks readily available & perhaps even coffee in the a.m., along with the other security features I already mentioned, would definitely increase my level of enjoyment, & I believe.will also encourage other individuals/couples to become more interested in the property, & inspire new consumers to give The Sands a try & make the experience even better.

These Mom an Pop Motel are krazy, but any way a friend of my was here the room was oky I wouldn't stay there plus they dont do AARP they said when l ask...whats that? Oky go there unless u are in a great need for a room. People or oky!😕

all i wanted to do was find my brother that i havent seen or hear from i get it they do have the right not to help me but im worried about him hes going through a roff time she seemed heartless and cold she didnt evan check if he was their she was the rudist person i have ever met all i wanna know is if my brother is safe or not i wasnt a nice person eithsr but she lied to me and i hate that most of all people dont have a heart to help those who ask for help

THEY HAVE BED BUGS! I took video & showed the man an hour after checking in what had bite me & another was I. The wall he told me “no we don’t have “ like no you clearly do because I have video. Doubt needle under the bed he wouldn’t offer no refund I have video proof & will get my money back from them !!!!!!
