We loved our time on Romancing the wind. The crew took wonderful care of us during our 4 hour charter. We enjoyed sailing around Coronado bay, under the bridge, around San Diego seaport village, the fun old sailing boats and museums, and to the west of the naval station and east of Point Loma. We loved it so much we’re coming back again in September for another tour. Boat is in fantastic shape, loved the crew, and the whole event was a perfect end to our 3 night/4 day time in San Diego.

What a fantastic day on Romancing the Wind! Everyone on the crew went above and beyond to make everything right for us & we had a truly epic day on the ocean on this wonderful boat. Jim and Bernice were great getting us booked and working with us, & our crew of Captain Cory, James & Allison were the best. An absolutely phenomenal way to spend the day with family on the beautiful San Diego Bay!

Our extended family had a terrific 2 hour sail on the bay as we celebrated an 80th birthday! Crew hung a sign that engaged passerby to yell “happy birthday”. Fantastic, safe, knowledgeable crew! We will be back again.

Romancing the Winds is the choice for chartering a boat to enjoy the beautiful San Diego harbor. My family and I gathered to spread my father's ashes. Jim, the rest of the crew, and Bernice were excellent. Professional and accommodating they ensured this special event went flawlessly.

Two of the family members have limited mobility, and have issues with stairs. Jim and the crew got them out of the wheelchairs, and onboard with no problems. The large vessel had comfortable seating for folks in their seventies and younger. Plenty of room for the nineteen attendees.

Finally, the team are excellent communicators. From the booking to returning to dock I felt informed and taken care of. We were racing against a storm, and the FUNeral speeches were going a bit long. Jim politely came up to me, whispered "fifteen minutes until the rain starts", and allowed me to direct the family to wrap it up. This small detail meant the world during this difficult time, and ensured we got back safe.

There is no better charter and no better team than RTW! We first boarded back in the summer of 2019 with a crew of 30 friends and family and have been back every summer since. Whether it’s a full boat of 30 or our most recent family outing of only 9 it’s always amazing. Jim the owner takes pride in his boat and making sure your experience is nothing short of perfect. The boat is clean and well maintained, while the crew is knowledgeable and courteous. Can’t wait to set sail again!
