I recently stayed at the Royal Inn and was incredibly disappointed first to find out the room looks exactly as I thought it would (A hot mess!!!). Then to find out that my room was infested with bed bugs was the icing on the cake! I woke up in the middle of the night to find multiple bites on my skin and noticed tiny red spots on my sheets. I tried to brush it off as a minor issue, but as the night went on, the bites became more and more uncomfortable. When I brought it to the front desk's attention, they were un-apologetic, and even went as far to say that I was the cause of the infestation. But offered to move me to a different room, by that time, I had already checked out and was left feeling uneasy and concerned about the potential for further exposure. While I understand that bed bugs can happen anywhere, I expect a higher level of cleanliness and attention to detail from a hotel, especially one that prides itself on providing a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!!!!! STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This business deserves a zero!!

Absolutely Horrible the blonde haired lady at the front tried to fight my pregnant wife
And the old man came in our room when we were not there they will go on your room anytime they please very rude definitely would not visit this place they also took 140$ from us and refuse to give the owners information so a lawsuit has been filed and we're just waiting on them to be served please if you see this review please listen
We need to stop the arrogant idiots from doing this to others

The owner was extremely disrespectful. He treats his employees very badly. He's very rude and cheap. We were supposed to stay 4 nights. We left after 2. The property manager and staff were very nice and apologetic about our experience. We were not able to geta refund.

This was a horrible experience.. Management was rude and very disrespectful.. Wake up was and Hour before check out .. and they beat the door down like the police to warn u its almost check out time.. The room was nasty ..The bed bugs and roaches... And management and the guy at the front desk gave me real bad CRACKHEAD vibes.. i don't recommend no one to stay here ...

I've lived in Anniston Al. For 13 years and I have stayed here many times even living here for 6 months at one time and have never been charged extra for my partner being able to stay with me. Now today Oct 24, 2023 I'm being charged an extra $40 for 2 adults and no extra company being here. How can this be right after paying $300 to stay here for4 days? These people are ridiculous and rude as can be. The room isn't clean, the area is not a good and if you need anything extra here like toilet paper, you'll be told you can't have it, it'll clog there drains. I regret ever coming here, and don't recommend this place to anyone.

Staff was extremely rude. We were told check-in was Anytime but then was pushed out starting at 8:50am even though check-out was supposed to be at 10:30am.. staff started calling our room at 8:50am for us to check-out.. and apparently they pushed everyone out bc everyone was leaving as we were and looked very upset about it as well. Our toilet would not flush.. and they were making up rules that were not listed on the gate as we were trying to swim in the pool. Will not be back to this motel again!!

They need to remodel ASAP!!! Invest in buying new linens, I went to the store to buy a towel and washcloth. The bedding was stained and the bedspread had cigarette burns in it. I did not cover up with those, I turned on the heat to stay warm. I stayed there because my normal hotels I stayed at when I'm in the area was sold out. I don't know what kind of bug this is but I saw one each night I stayed. Never again will I stay, I'd rather sleep in my car. I will say that it was very quiet though, that was a plus!
