I was there with 2 dogs on first leg of long roadtrip. Love the whole place, the trails, scenery, hot tubs, grounds and friendly seasonal guys. The facilities were very clean and the staff always busy but still had a moment to be friendly and share a smile.

What stands out the most is the warm, effusive welcome and orientation I received on arrival from the manager, David. He is like a big brother/cool uncle you didn’t know you needed (even if you might be older than he).
I loved every minute there. I wish I had better weather but even in the intermittent light drizzle I explored the extensive, maintained trail system that is thoughtfully marked with signs on flora, fauna and local data.

My young Doberman won the first prize in the costume contest as an improvised little red riding hood! I can’t wait to return. The resort is excellent in every way.

Beautiful grounds and facility, but unfortunately, outside of the bar and pool, there are zero daily activities. No Volleyball or horseshoes or corn hole or any outdoor activities. Which is a real shame because there’s plenty of room for it on the grounds.

As a gay veteran and connecting with the owner who is Marine. I felt safe and comfortable until I saw the possibility of him harassing and physically assaulting one of his patrons once alcohol kicked in. Seems there's a lot more internal homophobia here rather than lgbtq community here. Save yourself the trip and the possibility of being kicked out in the middle of the night due to you being yourself.
Sincerely Disappointed camper

A wild & wonderful gay getaway -- as a West Virginian (who moved out of the state nearly a decade ago), Roseland is a queer space unlike anywhere in the state. It's oh-so-charming and boasts even more amenities than other gay campsites I have been to in the Poconos. Staff was so friendly - and the food options at Town Hall were surprisingly tasty! Pool is very well maintained and even features a full fledge bar right next to it. As for our stay, we lodged in the deluxe cabin - which comfortably fit my partner and I. The drive out to Roseland is definitely off the beaten path, but worth the experience that I'll never forget - I hope to return!

I recently was able to spend two nights at the Roseland Resort and Campground, I will say that I had an amazing time! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, a friend and I stayed during the week so it was pretty quiet and extremely relaxing.

We were checked in by Mackenzie, who was an absolute pleasure to speak to and helped us get to our cabin and gave us a map so we could explore for ourselves.

The place is massive and absolutely gorgeous, the rolling hills and beautiful greenery made the slogan “It’s all about the view” come to life.

The bartender Josh was super welcoming as well and was sure to take care of us during our stay.

Between the way the residents and the staff welcomed us I would definitely recommend this place to many (as I already have).

I will definitely be back either on my own or with friends.

Thank you for such an amazing experience!

I cannot recommend Roseland enough. I’ve been to a few gay resorts/campgrounds and this is now my favorite. The view alone is reason to go, but the incredibly clean facilities, friendly guests, and unrivaled customer service and charm of the staff will ensure you have the time of your life at Roseland.

Guests come from all over and it’s a great place to meet people. The programming and themes are all fun and the seasonal folks get into it too and are so welcoming, which isn’t the case everywhere you go.

I drove 8 hours from Chicago for my first visit this past weekend, it was so worth the drive and then some. I made some great friends, went on some breathtaking hikes, and truly enjoyed myself in every sense of the word. Already making plans to return later this season. I think my favorite thing about Roseland is that it’s very CYOA. You can rage and have fun at the bar, do some self care and have a sauna and massage, spend your days hiking and nights stargazing. There’s really something for everyone.

Roseland is an absolutely amazing place. My partner and I came with friends for the first time five years ago and have been back 3-5 times every year since. We’ve introduced another 15-20 friends to the campground and our group continues to grow! The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. We’ve tent camped, stayed in rooms, and stayed in cabins. Great experience all around. The owners are very present and attentive. The owners and staff are always very kind and helpful for whatever you need. We find the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. We’ve met so many great guys throughout the years who are now regular camping buddies and great friends. Holiday weekends are frequently sold out and a blast! Non-holiday weekends have a more relaxing vibe, but are also a great time. We can’t wait to be back for Xmas in July! Can’t recommend Roseland enough. Come with a friendly, open mind, talk to people, and follow the few simple and necessary rules. You’ll have a great time! Almost Heaven…

The campground itself is beautiful and well-maintained and the staff are pretty nice. They do a great job of maintaining the pool and keeping all of the grounds pretty clean and well kept.

The biggest suggestion would be to add some activities so that people staying here have things to do. While the pool and the bars are nice, there’s no social activities set up. As a result, most everyone just sort of sticks to their own Little group. People come to places like Roseland to have some fun and socialize and meet other people. If the management and owner invested in just a few activities, for example, setting up a volleyball net, a croquet set, horseshoes, corn hole etc. it would bring many More people out, especially during the week. If you had established activities throughout the day or even at different times during the day, outside of the dance parties, it would create a much better sense of community and it would require very little financial investment. If you do, the payoff would be pretty incredible. You would definitely see more people coming here. I do hope you take this suggestion, seriously as it is sincerely meant to add something to the campground that might be missing. we all love this place and be successful and be here for a long time. Thanks for listening!
