Wonderful experience here! Very quiet, with beautiful rooms and a lovely view (depending on the room you're in). We had the 3rd floor to ourselves and really enjoyed it. David and Pam are lovely people and the breakfasts were really delicious! Location couldn't get much better as you're within waking distance of the downtown area and Riverwalk. Anything else you'd want to do is a fairly short drive away. Would definitely stay again if we're ever nearby in the future!

David & Pam host a wonderfully warm and welcoming experience at their charming inn, complete with clean, comfortable rooms and a gourmet home-cooked breakfast. The gorgeous flower garden greets you upon arrival and the lovely town of Astoria is 5 mins walking distance to shops, restaurants, Columbia River waterfront and maritime museum. We only regret that we stayed just one night! Highly recommend this bed & breakfast gem!

My mom and I had an amazing stay at the Rose River Inn! The inn was so cozy and comfortable and has a lot of vintage charm. It’s just a short walk from downtown Astoria and the river, and we had a delicious breakfast each morning. Pam and David are so kind and hospitable - highly recommend for your Astoria visit!

Had a great weekend getaway in Astoria. Pam & David are great hosts - rooms are very spacious - we had the Inspiration Room - don't let the 3rd floor scare you off, it's an easy trip up. Room was very spacious; was great having basically an entire floor to ourselves. Great views of the river from the main floor. Breakfast was perfect amount and changed some every day the three days we were there. Easy access to the downtown - just a couple of blocks. Parking was easy and close. We also rented the Sunflare Room for our son and his girlfriend. It was plenty of room. Entire house is nicely decorated without being too cluttered. If you want to run or walk, the river walk is just down the street and goes for miles.

No air conditioning like Google Maps claims and I can't seem to edit, and unfortunately it was a day of record heat. To be clear, I think I'd be more surprised if it did have it given that it's an old house and should be rarely needed (it may be different on the third floor).

But besides that, it is indeed a great place inside and out. Rooms are nicely decorated, some have excellent views of downtown and the river, and the location is excellent, back in the neighborhood yet only a few blocks from downtown. Multiple wireless networks available for use.

The hosts are indeed delightful, and breakfast was nice. Fruit bowel with available yogurt and granola, quiche, small desert and orange juice. Made sure to have a carafe of filtered water in the room upon arrival.

Also, they let me stay in a more expensive room (with view) at no extra charge.

It was wonderful!!!

My husband and I stayed in two different rooms (Inspiration and River View) recently over a long weekend and we loved both of them. Pam and David are gracious and their home is not only beautiful, it's immaculate. The food was good, coffee even better and the hospitality like no other.

The gardens surrounding the home are beautiful, inside, nothing is out of place, the home is historic, warm, inviting and is in a great location for everything you might do in Astoria.

Parking instructions were very clear, check in and out seamless and a refrigerator provided if you needed to keep things cold. A wonderful visit, we absolutely LOVED staying at the Rose River Inn Bed and Breakfast and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, clean and affordable room.

My husband and I had a fantastic 2 night stay. The grounds are gorgeous and the house is wonderfully authentic but well maintained. We stayed in the Rose room and it was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and you couldn't hear anyone else in the house. It's located so close to the center of town we didn't have to drive anywhere. Pam and Dave (our hosts) are so kind and not pushy at all. And the breakfast they served was truly delicious. Needless to say we will be returning soon.
