This new coffee shop is great!! I loooove the photogenic peony decal and the kind employees. The latte was great too and they were kind enough to make it with my diet shake so I could drink it. It was a good place to get work done, however there are only a few outlets so bring an extension cord. Other than that everything was great!

got a matcha latte with oat milk, matcha is basically brown and this separation is kind of concerning to me this does not happen when any other matcha i've ordered from anywhere else becomes watered down. also tastes kinda funky and just not like a good quality matcha. i can't speak much for their other drinks but i wouldn't recommend this if you're a regular matcha drinker and have higher expectations

My sister and I came here at 8am for an early breakfast. We got the avocado toast with egg, matcha waffle, and lavender latte. The avocado toast was very fresh and the matcha waffle was fluffy and not too sweet! Definitely would recommend coming here for their food and cute atmosphere.

This is my fiances favorite coffee shop in Cerritos. She actually orders from them almost everyday and will order two drinks. One for morning and one for the afternoon . The chagachino is delicious and of you are health conscious is a good alternative to a sugary drink. My fiance always gets the lavender milk tea with oat milk and their chai latte with oat milk. The avocado toast and breakfast burritos are really good as well. Oh and the banana pudding is stupid delicious. But my favorite thing is that they pay a lot of attention to service and their regulars. We always pickup with our shiba inu or on some days have door dash to deliver. I will post a small picture of what one of the barista's wrote on my fiance's cup. It's the small touches that mean the world to us.

Increasingly less impressed with this place. My original review was 5 stars, but I haven't really felt that was since Roots' first year of business. No doubt, the drinks and food here are quite good but a little on the pricier side for coffee shops in the area. This may be a function of the level of quality of their ingredients.

My greatest pet peeve, though, is the service. I don't think I expect too much. A friendly greeting, prompt service, and maintenance of the restaurant is the norm, but these details seem to always be missing when I come around. I don't think I'm ever really welcomed into the store or really addressed when I'm contemplating the menu. The speed of service is okay but there never seems to be a sense of urgency. Lastly, the shop never seems to be well tidied up when I come around. Regularly, there are chairs and tables covered in crumbs and sticky substances. The tables and chairs aren't rearranged when patrons leave. I was there an hour the last time, and both employees stayed behind the counter on their phones the entire time. Bonus points: I killed 2 mosquitos while I was there and ended up with 3 mosquito bites. I haven't seen mosquitos in months.

Like I said, I do enjoy the food and drink options. They do use quality ingredients. But the polish is missing on this place. Not a bad choice for takeout but not a place I'll choose to study in or sit and chat with someone.
