I've been eating here since I was a kid and every time I comeback I'm always afraid something changed. Thankfully thought out the years since l've moved, it's still remains the best burgers l've ever had. Every time I comeback home I always hit up root beer king because it always delivers. I do miss the old decor the place had but it's whatever and service it's decent they'll get your order right. 10/10 will recommend. Please keep doing what you’re doing and don’t change.

COCKROACH!! Was found in my rootbeer float on our drive home. Occasionally we drive from Bakersfield to Lamont because the fries are best at this location. We called to notify them of our findings. The lady asked what we ordered (our order: 1fry, 2 hamburgers, 3 shakes, chilie cheese fris and a chilie dog.) She said she could ONLY REFUND the ONE shake the roach was found in. We were already back in town and just asked for her to make sure the machines were cleaned periodically and properly. Lady was rude.

Will not be going back!!! Will not recommend!!!

Love this place best time to go is on weekdays during lunch don't go at night the food is usually sloppy. I love how they fry the buns with mustard then top it off with seasoned salt.

This place is delicious, it might be just a burger spot, but eveytime we go out to Bakersfield. We make it a point to drive out to Lamont and eat at Root Beer King.
