Riviera Resort was clean, semi-modern, and had a relaxing beach vacation vibe. When I checked in, I really wanted to give it a 5-star rating. The front desk staff was welcoming and kind.

Our room was clean and charming, with a peaceful garden view. The main goal of our girls' trip was to relax in the jacuzzi, so I called the day before to confirm they were working, and staff assured me they were. However, upon arrival, we found that only one jacuzzi was available, as the rest were closed for a BMW event. A heads-up would have been appreciated since we had to wait for space in the only working jacuzzi, which was overcrowded.

The worst part of our stay was the bartender, Fernando. When we approached the bar, he ignored us was dismissive, and showed no interest in helping. When I asked about available drink flavors, he simply said, "They're in the menu." Later, when my friends and I were trying to locate Building 5, he made no effort to assist.

Overall, the resort was great, but the limited jacuzzi access and Fernando’s poor attitude took away from the experience.

We really enjoyed our girls trip here! Pool area was great (especially Thurs & Friday). Margaritas were delicious. Our King Premium room was spacious for 4 girls. Room could have had more places to hang things (toiletries kits, purses, etc.) but that was a small thing.
The other reviews that state you can hear the doors around you opening/closing loudly is kind of true — so I would suggest bringing some white noise if you’re sensitive to that. Was awesome to have bike rentals available. Staff was super friendly too, especially Clayna at the pool bar! We would come back here for sure.

The staff is amazing. Very friendly. Very professional and capable. Alex at the front desk was great! He was helpful with a couple things that came up for us on the first day. And his smile never failed. Sebastian the manager was also tremendously helpful and amiable. Will be back to the Riviera.

Extremely disappointing experience.

Housekeeping was a lowlight. Soap dispenser in showers was empty. Dirty towels would get taken away but not replaced. Same with amenities like bar soap, coffee cups, Kleenex. Towels in the pool area would not get restocked regularly.

Front desk was responsive when you called and made a request, but having to call repeatedly each day to have towels brought to your room (not extra towels, any towels) is a glaring issue.

Facilities were also sub par. Shower took forever to heat up. AC didn’t work. Soundproofing was questionable- footsteps in the room above were loud. The hot tub in the main pool area didn’t work so we had to walk much farther to reach the hot tub in the smaller pool area.

The TV was equipped with a chromecast device which was a huge plus, and it was easy to cast through my own accounts on my own phone . The device stopped working partway through so that was a bummer.

Finally, I was overcharged upon checkout. Luckily I caught this and had the front desk remedy it without any problems, but it was just one more thing to go wrong (“yes, of course I was overcharged, huge surprise”). Definitely check your bill before leaving.

Came here for my 50th birthday and this hotel was the perfect choice. Love the vibe, pool, and hotel layout. The staff was great and Sebastian went out of his way to make sure anything we needed was taken care of. He was very very customer service focused and easy to talk too. Definitely staying here next time I come back to Palm Springs.

After a disappointing experience at another local hotel, we decided to move to the Riviera, and it was the best decision we could have made. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, but Sebastian truly went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. His attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for guests made all the difference. He turned what started as a subpar trip into an outstanding experience. We’ll definitely be returning, and we highly recommend the Riviera—especially thanks to Sebastian!

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The noise levels were unbearable, with loud footsteps constantly coming from the room above me. The walls were so thin, it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, I could hear the slamming of doors and conversations from neighboring rooms. There were also cleanliness issues—the bottom of the beds were dirty, and last thing there was an event going on front of my room and I couldn’t sleep since i heard ppl playing games and speakers were so loud…etc and i missed my morning flight because i slept tooo late. I would not recommend staying here if you value a peaceful and comfortable environment.

I'm not sure why they call it a 4-star hotel, it feels more like a 2-star hotel. To add to more, all these issues occurred in a premium room that I was upgraded to. I can only imagine what the non-premium rooms are like—it must be like sleeping in a tent on the street under the bridge imagine the noises :).

The good things here are:
1. the bar looks nice and the entrance.
2. Customer service the person who helped me check in was very nice and.
3. free self parking.
4. The swimming pool is big with another bar very close to the pool.

Because of these things i gave them two stars otherwise it would be 1 (0) because i REALLY CARE about the room and my comfort more than anything and i didn’t get both of them here.

I stayed in the Lily Suite which was a private suite with a two sided fireplace, bedroom, kitchenette and a large out door deck. I was impressed with how clean the room with one exception, the furniture was somewhat stained but I talked with hotel management and this was resolved to my satisfaction. The staff here is really wonderful - all of them - from the management and front desk to the waiters and housekeeping staff. All went above and beyond in providing services. Had a WONDERFUL aromatherapy massage with Desiree! They are transitioning and there is more remodeling to be done, I'm rooting for this resort to return to its former classy resort history. I will definitely be a return customer.

Multiple pools and hot tubs, fun and cozy fire pits in the evening. Great place for singles, couples and families!
