Great stop on the way from Anchorage to Denali. Easy campsites right on the river. All amenities were great including a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available & showers were nice.

While the location is convenient and the owners are nice, I was disappointed in the amenities. Stayed for 4 nights and the bathrooms were clearly not cleaned contrary to the sign that said "cleaned daily." The bathroom trash was overflowing and the paper towel dispenser never worked. Also, online it said fire ring and picnic table at every site, but ours did not have one and we had to move one from an empty site. On another note, my childen enjoyed the playground and between our 2 sites, we had room to play games.

47 States and countless RV parks - this was the worst experience by far. Maybe this use to be a nice place but I believe it has new owners recently.

Where to start. When we arrived nobody was in the office. Sign said they were doing chores. Rang the door bell that was there. Nobody. Called the number that was posted everywhere and the office phone rang. Eventually a friendly guy came in and said the person that ran the place was not there right now, they weren't really sure what to do, but did get us checked in. No big deal... Small hiccup.

We arrived on a Saturday and there were a lot of weekenders there having fun. Again, no big deal. Live music next door ran until about 11pm. It was Saturday, no big deal.

Sunday we get woken up at 6am from 2 young boys playing football right outside our trailer in the park road having a cussing match. Wasn't happy but shrugged it off.

Monday we get woken up at 430AM! The same 2 young boys playing football and having a cussing match. Was not happy. Called the office. Someone answered, said they would handle it. My wife had to go out and tell them it was 430am and our bedroom was right there. They apologized and moved to behind our camper and played until about 6am.

My wife went to the office once it was open and told them what happened. They apologized and said that was not acceptable. "Maybe they are adjusting to the time difference." Well, there are a lot of Alaskans that live in this park full-time, that is where the boys were coming from so we knew it wasn't a time difference thing. But the real kicker was when we went to do laundry (located in the office) and one of the boys was in the office because he was their kid!! So they just lied to us and it was the people running the place allowing their kid to go out and play in the park at 430am.

1 load of laundry is $8 FYI. Also, there are no "riverside" sites. There is a half of the park that is CLOSER to the river that they will charge you extra for but nobody has riverside sites. There is a little part where anyone staying in the park can go down to the river.

Would not stay again. This was the only bad experience we have had being in Alaska for 2 months now.

We reserved an rv site here last year and we're unable to make it to Alaska. We contacted the park and we're told they would credit us this year for the one month down payment. Since that time, we have made repeated attempts to follow up on this year's reservation. They have disregarded our voicemails, text and emails forcing us to look elsewhere.
We would highly recommend if you are looking for an rv site that you look elsewhere.

After reading the mixed reviews we decided to be optimistic and give it a try. We booked a deluxe waterfront site. There is nothing deluxe about the campground. We did have full hookups, but the water pressure was sporadic. The 30 amp breaker could not handle one air conditioner and the hot water heater.
We had to put the hot water heater on gas to keep from tripping the breaker. The grass has not been mowed. There are no waterfront sites here. There were junk cars, a tree line out my back and the driveway out the front. Campers were on each side. I would not call that waterfront.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riverside RV & Camper Park in Houston, Alaska with my family, and I'm delighted to share how much fun my kids had during our stay. The park offered them a unique and exciting experience, particularly with the muddy river bank and the Central playground.

One of the highlights for my kids was the muddy river bank. It provided them with a wonderful opportunity to unleash their inner explorers and embrace the joy of getting dirty. They couldn't resist the allure of the mud, and I was thrilled to see their imaginations come alive as they squished, splashed, and built their own mud creations. It was an adventure they'll remember for a long time.

The Central playground at Riverside RV & Camper Park was another hit with my children. The well-designed playground offered a variety of engaging activities that kept them entertained for hours. From climbing structures and swings to slides and interactive elements, there was something for children of all ages. It provided a safe and enjoyable space where my kids could run, laugh, and make new friends.

The fact that Riverside RV & Camper Park offers such diverse and exciting experiences for children is commendable. It's refreshing to find a place where kids can connect with nature, unleash their creativity, and engage in unstructured play. These experiences are invaluable in fostering their imagination, physical development, and social skills.

While my kids were having a blast, I appreciated the natural beauty and serenity of the park. Being surrounded by the stunning Alaskan landscape added a touch of tranquility to our stay, allowing me to relax and unwind while my children played and explored.

Although there were a few areas where improvements could be made, such as the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers, the positive experiences my kids had at the muddy river bank and Central playground overshadowed any minor inconveniences. It's clear that Riverside RV & Camper Park understands the importance of creating spaces where children can thrive and make lasting memories.

Thank you, Riverside RV & Camper Park, for providing a haven of fun and adventure for my kids. Your dedication to providing engaging experiences in a beautiful natural setting is truly appreciated. We look forward to returning to your park for more muddy escapades and playful moments at the Central playground!

Leslie, our host, was most gracious and helpful in getting us set up with a shady campsite close to the river. The park has plenty of full hook-ups including sewer. It’s quiet and right on the river. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room are the cleanest I’ve ever seen! And plenty of room in the bathroom (separate from the showers) and plenty of individual shower rooms. There were 8-10 washing machines and dryers and the laundry area was roomy. There was lots to do and see in Fairbanks and we ended up staying two extra nights beyond our original plan. Highly recommend this RV park!

Meh. This is an ok location by the little su BUT it's in disrepair unfortunately.
The pros: location is good, close to supplies and ice cream/coffee and the river. Full hook ups, trash, facilities.
Cons: the septic smell is strong and unwelcome, sites are tight together but adequate, the playground is falling apart, dumpster is overflowing, the advertised WiFi is nearly useless, quiet hours were not enforced.
We stayed and made the best of it, but I'll look elsewhere when planning the next weekend trip.
