Wow! We had such a good time with Howard driving around and soaking up the beauty of the Hoonah area. We saw a bunch of bald eagles, rivers, mountains and just phenomenal scenery. Others on our cruise paid $200+ for this. We paid less than half of that. And Howard was the perfect guide. Smart. Funny. Lots of fun to hang out with. Highly recommend.

We went last summer and met Howard while walking around Hoonah. Took us on a very affordable tour with Howard and his son Jack. We saw bears and eagles. Jack introduced us to a sport that he does quite well at the end of the tour. Their humor and great personality really made our trip memorable.

We just had a tour with RiversAlaska during a recent stop at Icy Straight. This was a fantastic tour that was off the beaten track. The owner/guides have great local knowledge and included lots of interesting information and even family history with the tour. We saw eagles, jumping fish, totem pole carving, and a brown bear! Highly recommended!

Amazing extensive and informative tour. Howard and Jack are very personable and really made our experience the best we ever had. They go above and beyond and this is no cookie cutter tour such as the overpriced ship tours. We got to meet locals; see amazing wildlife; and were entertained by interacting with Howard and Jack. They really looked after us from beginning to end. My wife said this was the best tour on our entire trip to Alaska.

Nice tour in a 12 passenger van out into the national forest where we saw a bear eagles a whale and a couple of deer took us to some really neat places overall a very good value and a good tour. Thanks Mike

We met Jack and his dad while walking around Hoonah. We are so glad we did. We had a great time touring around with them and learned more about the area. They took us to some back roads to find brown bears, we saw 2. Jack and his father are super nice people who made our time in Hoonah fun and interesting.
