Amazing riverboat ride. The narration from all involved was very interesting and informative. I was pleasantly surprised to see the extra sights to see along the way. Stopped at a dog sled camp, saw a river plane land and take off, and much more. Very enjoyable experience.

We really enjoyed the cruise and loved the guide. He was funny and informative in his commentary! Learning about the sled dogs was cool, but the native village rep replica that we visited was awesome! Also, the meal that we had before the cruise was delicious.

The Riverboat Discovery crew did a great job giving us insight into the impact of rivers in the Last Frontier. We saw a float plane take off and land. A dog mushing camp. Learned about a fish wheel. Once on the shop we were treated to delicious blueberry donuts. As we were heading back to the dock we were treated to some delicious salmon dip on crackers! I highly recommend doing the Riverboat Discovery!

This place was one of the highlights of our trip. All the guides were friendly and informative. Huge gift shop also.If I'm ever in the Fairbanks area again , I will definitely visit here again

A very well guided informative tour spread over about 5 hours and 30 minutes. Every staff member is welcoming and smiling. Our family certainly loved the experience.

Very nice experience. Informative lecture and you stay warm while inside the boat. There are plenty of bathrooms available. When you sit on the boat facing the front, I suggest you sit on the right side so you can view the sea plane.

Food is terrible! We had it included in the package but I do not recommend paying.

-40 degree room is a fun experience but line can be long so go during lunch.

Such a fun tour! We enjoyed learning about the sled dogs and the stop at the fishing village. It is always such a pleasure getting to learn about native culture, and we especially enjoyed that so many of the guides are young native kids - so glad they are getting to preserve their culture and share it with folks from all around the world. The boat ride itself was very relaxing and we enjoyed the narration - everything from the informative talks to the cheesy jokes, it was a fun ride! The boat has ample seating, free yummy donuts and coffee, and a gift shop + cafe! All in all, this was a very fun experience and we are glad we did it. It has something for everyone to enjoy.

Checking in was very simple with prepaid tickets.

Explored the gift shop before getting on the boat I held back from purchasing too many souvenirs however I found as we made our way across the Alaska the prices at this gift shop were better and I wish I would’ve had purchased more.

There were so many seats on the boat we were able to move around and see different views.

Did not purchase any snacks, but did have the free donuts and coffee which were delicious. They also offered a sample of their salmon which was delicious.

Had a person with low mobility in our party and it was easy for her to navigate on the bottom layer of the boat.

She was able to climb the stairs, although they were slightly steep.

The demonstration of the float plain was visible from the outside decks .

Dog kennel stop we were able to witness sled run and hear a little bit about the dogs .

Stopping off at the village, they split us into three groups and moved us in rotation around three sites and explained about village life of the native Americans that lived in the region . They had examples of that they used and every day items that they created from the land. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. They grew up around the area.

This was the most informative tour we took on our trip to Alaska and well worth the half day we spent on this adventure .
