We enjoyed our short stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. The views are beautiful. We toured the green houses and property with an umbrella because it was rainy. It was so much fun looking around. The cabins are comfortable and everything you might want. They have a great common area building if you want to exercise play games watch tv or even heat up a sandwich and soup. You won’t go wrong here. We will be back in a couple of years and stay longer. Loved meeting the Homers. Breakfast was great and their breakfast area full of things to talk about and see.

Homer and his son Pat are some of the nicest people, and incredible hosts. I called day-of and they were very accommodating, and seemed happy to turn up the thermostat and plug in the fridge (although it was -°f‘s outside, so I unplugged it). Not many places are open in the winter around here, but they made it happen when the only good snow for snowmachining was up the road at Summit lake. 1.3 hours from Summit makes it a nice spot to drive to from Anchorage.

Rec room is incredible, with lots of equipment given the location and price. Pool table is in great shape and kept us busy with the long hours of darkness. Movie room area has a full stack of movies.
Kitchenette-esk setup in the rec room gives the opportunity to make meals if need be. But don’t worry about breakfast, because Homer and Pat made the best home cooked meals. Blue blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage on day 1. Day 2 was loaded omelettes, sausage, and waffles.

The room itself is very comfortable with log cabin styled interior, but is warm and dry. Bathroom was clean and neat. Has power. Parking works well even with a short trailer, but it is winter with few people around.
There was a slight added charge because there were 3 of us instead of 2, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay here. Everything is beautiful, down to the construction of the cabins.

The family that hosts are some of the nicest and most interesting people you’ll ever meet. Pat and his dad Homer serve a really delicious breakfast every morning and have a lot of cool stories and plenty of knowledge of the state. I can’t recommend it enough, and we’ll definitely be back.

Our stay at River View Lodge was absolutely fantastic! The breathtaking views of the river from our room were truly mesmerizing - we spent hours just gazing out at the serene landscape. The warm and genuine hospitality shown by the staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

What a fantastic bed and breakfast, right on the Copper River. The owners, Homer, Mrs. Homer and son Patrick, were phenomenal hosts. They shared tons of information about the B&B, the area, their garden, sightseeing areas they thought we would enjoy and so much more. Homer and his wife had taught school in small Alaskan indigenous communities and had raised their children in these same communities. Both Homer and Patrick were so free with answering all of our question about their lives in Alaksa. whoops, almost forgot to mention the oh so yummy breakfast each morning. The cabin we stayed in was very comfortable and with wonderfully luxurious linens. The recreation room had tons of workout equipment, multiple DVD's, pool table and comfortable chairs and a large screen tv. ||We would recommend Riverview Bed and Breakfast to anyone planning to travel in this area.

Comfortable beds with a view of Copper River right out the door. Homer and Patrick were wonderful hosts. I did a short workout in the rec room -- many options for equipment. The next morning I walked about 150 yards upstream to a fish wheel where the wheel's owner and son-in-law were cleaning the fish. Would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful place. The cabin room was clean and comfortable. Homer and Patrick are delightful hosts and our breakfast was hearty and delicious ! We learned a lot about their lives here and how Homer once lived in an indigenous village. They use every part of what they harvest in an old fashioned sustainable way. Kudos!

Stay here regardless of which direction you are heading! From Fairbanks to Valdez, or from Talkeetna along the Denali Highway to Glennallen. This place is worth seeking out. ||Nevermind the scrumptious breakfast; the homemade waffles with pecans and delicious omelet- made to order. ||Nevermind the clean comfortable rooms with relaxing hot showers and great water pressure. ||Nevermind the beautiful birch-tree grounds, pots of blooming flowers, benches to take in the view, and paths leading to green houses bursting at the seam, packed with vegetables and tomatoes.||Nevermind the absolute stillness of the area, the sweeping mountain views, the riverbed just steps from the cabins, and the appearance of wildlife in the forested and riverbed terrain.||Those were all a reality for us at this terrific place! (how great, right?)…..but the most memorable part of our recent stay, was the interaction with our caring, attentive and personable hosts. Patrick, and his Dad, Homer. ||We loved having breakfast in their home, and luckily we were the only breakfast guests on those two days because we stayed for hours to talk, and really enjoyed the lively conversation. Delightful, witty, insightful, hysterical. Informative.||The chat added another dimension to our understanding of Alaska on this first ever trip here. Thank you Homer and Patrick for your great B&B, and for being so welcoming. |Highly Recommended.
