Would stay here again in a heartbeat!! The location was great - 15 minute drive from downtown, 15 minute drive from Camelback, 15 minute drive from Phoenix mountains. Lots of great eateries around with a nice grocery store a block or two away. Not to mention the amazing cafes and bookstore/coffee shop in the adjoining building!

Karina at Lylo took amazing care of me during the week, helping me try all the phenomenal cocktails on the poolside menu. She was fabulous!

Isabella at Say When rooftop bar (connected to hotel) also made our stay so memorable! She was so personable and funny and made great recommendations for the area.

The room was stylish and clean, and the staff was helpful and welcoming as well!

Can’t recommend this place enough!!

This is such a cute hotel that really feels like an oasis in the desert. The ambiance and vibe were all really great. The staff was extremely helpful. I enjoyed the welcome popsicles and the pool was great. The room was fairly clean and the tv had good options. The comforter kind of freaked me out as it looked like it was growing mold (see photo), but I just tried to think it was the cotton in the comforter all bunched up, at least that made me sleep better.

I stayed at Rise Uptown over Christmas, and while there were a few positives, my experience was disappointing overall.
Positives:
The hotel grounds were beautiful, and the room was clean.
Daniel at the front desk was exceptional—he apologized for the restaurant being closed early and offered a nice gesture to make up for it, which I truly appreciated.
Issues:

The restaurant was closed early on Christmas Eve, and the availability of the rooftop and pool the next day was unclear. I had to go outside the hotel to find food after a long flight.
I was repeatedly asked if I was a guest, while no one else seemed to be questioned.
I was charged for pillowcases stained by oils from my hair, but I wasn’t made aware of this at check-in or checkout. I only found out about it when reviewing my bill, and the explanation felt unfair and unclear.
Overall, while the hotel had potential, the lack of transparency, unclear communication, and issues with service made this stay frustrating. I’d hesitate to stay here again.

This version is more succinct and tailored for a Google review format. Let me know if you'd like to make any tweaks!

I was so dissatisfied with this hotel that I checked out early and was out a ton of money. Tried to email the manager about my experience but got no response. My room was dank, smelled like sewer gas. Dirty cups had been left on my balcony. My room was by the stairwell where people were loud up and down all night. This place looks nothing like the pictures! Beware! I paid a lot of money for a very very mediocre room. I feel scammed.

I was very excited about staying here based on reviews and photos. It didn’t quite live up to expectations though.

Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Friendly staff (at check in).

The approach of one of the waitresses around the pool was unfortunately off putting. I was chilling minding my own business and she come over and asked if I’m a guest at the hotel. I said yes.. She then asked if I brought my beer in myself, or whether I bought it at the bar. I told her I bought it at the bar and her reaction was quite dismissive.

A little tip. It’d make guests more comfortable if you checked in with your colleague behind the bar whether the one person sat around the pool had bought their beer at the bar.

I arrived home one night at 11pm after an event and my door was wedged open. Turns out the cleaner had left my door open after they cleaned it (great job though).

Why does no one talk about how NOISY the busy road is in their reviews? This hotel is cute, but it's more like a motel with the road-side, self-service, out-door hallways vibe.

CONS: I felt mislead when I booked the reservation for a king balcony that overlooked the "garden" as told to me by the phone reservation agent, when it actually looks over a parking lot that is next to a very busy street. I never used the balcony for that reason.

Also, I asked to be on the top floor so I didn't have to hear footsteps above. Those notes were not in my reservation, and come to find out that the top floor of rooms has a bar over it. Thankfully that night it was closed, but the few times I hear staff walking up there, it was VERY loud.

Thankfully the HVAC in the room created some white noise to drown out the street, but I prefer not to have the air blowing directly on my face as I sleep.

The cold water faucet knob for the sink didn't work.

PROS: I was looking for a cool, modern place to stay in Phoenix. The look is definitely there. The room was clean and beautiful. However, the scent of the cleaning products used was so pungent, I had to air out the room for a couple of hours.
The bed was comfortable.

The people who helped me at the front desk in the evening and morning were the best part of the experience. I enjoyed the popsicle. I wasn't able to use the pool during my stay, but it looked very cute.

Just a few steps away were some good eateries, coffee and a very cool bookshop.

I won't be coming back here to stay on my next Phoenix trip though.

My husband and I were not very familiar with the Phoenix Uptown area but the price and reviews of this hotel convinced us to stay here and it did NOT disappoint! The hotel has a very “Palm Springs” vibe — from the design and decor, the greenery, to the pool area and common area music. The pool is heated and there is a hot-tub which was very convenient for our winter stay. The rooms are also very modern, clean and spacious.

Only thing we would suggest to change:
There is an additional daily “experience” charge of $35 that is mentioned only upon checking in (not when you book the reservation). It includes the parking fee, a complimentary cocktail per person and popsicles. My recommendation would be that they add this amount to the initial price and offer it as an added perk instead of throwing you off once you are there and having no choice but to pay it. Other than that, everything was great and we will definitely be staying again in the future.

My stay at the Rise Uptown was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming. I was even given a free upgrade to the largest room, a bottle of wine, plus homemade infused popsicles during my stay—which were so good!

My room smelled fresh, was spotless, and had such a cozy vibe. There also is an AppleTV, which is a plus! The hotel itself is in a perfect location, with a beautiful pool area and a fun atmosphere. It’s also surrounded by other hotels and offers a complimentary drink during happy hour. Plus, it’s just 15 minutes from downtown and only five minutes from plenty of restaurants, shops, and more.

Overall, a 10/10 experience—I can’t wait to come back!
